JESUS WAS NOT A Jew

From “Common Sense”, p. 2-1-53 and 5-1-59

http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/jesusjew.htm

“Christians have been duped by the unholiest hoax in all history, by so-called Jews. This is considered their most effective weapon.”

“This ‘big lie’ technique is brainwashing United States Christians into believing that Jesus Christ was “King of the Jews”, in the sense that so-called ‘Jews’ today call themselves ‘Jews’. This reference was first made in English translations of the Old and New Testaments, centuries before the so-called Jews highjacked the word ‘Jew’ in the 18th century A.D. to palm themselves off on the Christian world as having a kinship with Jesus Christ. This alleged kinship comes from the myth of their common ancestry with the so-called ‘Jews’ of the Holy Land in the Old Testament history, a fiction based on fable.”

“American Christians little suspect they are being brainwashed twenty-four hours of every day over television and radio, by newspapers and magazines, by motion pictures and plays, by books, by political leaders in office and seeking office, by religious leaders in their pulpits and outside their churches, by leaders in the field of education inside and outside their curricular activities, and by all leaders in business, professions and finance, whose economic security demands that they curry the favor of so-called “Jews” of historic Khazar ancestry. Unsuspecting Christians are subjected to this barrage from sources they have little reason to suspect. Incontestable facts supply the unchallengeable proof of the historic accuracy that so-called “Jews” throughout the world today of eastern European origin are unquestionably the historic descendants of the Khazars, a pagan Turko-Finn ancient Mongoloid nation deep in the heart of Asia, according to history, who battled their way in bloody wars about the 1st century B.C. into eastern Europe where they set up their Khazar kingdom. For some mysterious reason the history of the Khazar kingdom is conspicuous by its absence from history courses in the schools and colleges.

“The historic existence of the Khazar kingdom of so-called “Jews”, their rise and fall, the permanent disappearance of the Khazar kingdom as a nation from the map of Europe, and how King Bulan and the Khazar nation in about 740 A.D. became so-called “Jews” by conversion, were concealed from American Christians by censorship imposed by so-called “Jews”, of historic Khazar ancestry, upon all U.S.A. media of mass communications directed by them. Then in 1945 this author gave nation-wide publicity to his many years intensive research into the “facts of life” concerning Khazars. The disclosures were sensational and very effective but apparently angered so-called “Jews” who have continued to vent their spleen upon this author since then solely for that reason. Since 1946 they have conducted a vicious smear campaign against him, seeking thus to further conceal these facts, for obvious reasons. What have they to fear from the truth?

“In an original 1903 edition of the Jewish Encyclopedia in New York’s Public Library, and in the Library of Congress, Volume IV, pages 1 to 5 inclusive, appears a most comprehensive history of the Khazars. Also in the New York Public Library are 327 books by the world’s greatest historians and other sources of reference, in addition to the Jewish Encyclopedia, dealing with Khazar history, and written between the 3rd A.D. and 20th centuries by contemporaries of the Khazars and by modern historians on that subject.”

Jesus was a ‘Judean’, not a Jew.

During His lifetime, no persons were described as “Jews” anywhere. That fact is supported by theology, history and science. When Jesus was in Judea, it was not the “homeland” of the ancestors of those who today style themselves “Jews”. Their ancestors never set a foot in Judea. They existed at that time in Asia, their “homeland”, and were known as Khazars. In none of the manuscripts of the original Old or New Testament was Jesus described or referred to as a “Jew”. The term originated in the late eighteenth century as an abbreviation of the term Judean and refers to a resident of Judea without regard to race or religion, just as the term “Texan” signifies a person living in Texas.

In spite of the powerful propaganda effort of the so-called “Jews”, they have been unable to prove in recorded history that there is one record, prior to that period, of a race religion or nationality, referred to as “Jew”. The religious sect in Judea, in the time of Jesus, to which self-styled “Jews” today refer to as “Jews”, were known as “Pharisees”. “Judaism” today and “Pharisaism” in the time of Jesus are the same.

Jesus abhorred and denounced “Pharisaism”; hence the words, “Woe unto you Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites, Ye Serpents, Ye Generation of Vipers”.

The Foremost Commandments

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

THE FOREMOST COMMANDMENTS

Hear, O Israel: YHWH1 our God is one YHWH: And thou shalt love YHWH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (Deuteronomy 6:4-52)…thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am YHWH. (Leviticus 19:18)

The law of Yahweh cannot be discarded as some archaic canon of an earlier culture’s political structure without suffering horrific spiritual, social and political consequences. Instead, it is the primary dynamic through which Christians demonstrate love and devotion to their Lord and Savior, Yeshua the Christ:

If ye love me [Yeshua], keep my commandments. (John 14:15)By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of [for] God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2-3)

Rather than being replacements for the Ten Commandments, as it is sometimes taught, the two foremost commandments are simply a summary of the Ten Commandments:

Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YHWH thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40)…brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Galatians 5:13-14)

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended ["summed up," NASV] in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:8-10)

When the Apostle Paul instructed his Christian brothers in Galatia that they had been “called unto liberty,” he was simply informing them that their adherence to Yah’s laws was now voluntary rather than forced. The law is summed up, not abolished, in loving thy neighbor as thyself.

YHWH’s Law Delivered to MosesThe following diagram illustrates how the whole law “hangs” upon the two foremost commandments:

In other words, if someone loves Yahweh he will not transgress the first four commandments and their respective statutes. And, if someone loves his neighbor as himself he will not transgress the last six commandments and their respective statutes. Josiah, king of Judah, demonstrated this even while under the Mosaic Covenant:

…there [was] no king before him [Josiah], that turned to [loved] YHWH with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses…. (2 Kings 23:25)

In order to fulfill the two foremost commandments, it is imperative to understand that “we love because [Yahweh] first loved us” – 1 John 4:19. This was demonstrated to us in the most dramatic of ways:

…God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:9-10

Motivated by His love for us, Yeshua shed His blood as a sacrifice for our sins, and this love is appropriated when a person, in faith and repentance, is baptized (immersed) into Yeshua the Christ for the forgiveness of those sins – Mark 16:16; Acts 2:36-38; 22:1-16. This love is then returned to Yahweh and our fellow man as we observe Yah’s laws – John 14:15; 1 John 5:2-3.

Ten Commandments and their meaning

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

  1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them….

  3. Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy God in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

  4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of YHWH1 thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YHWH blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

  5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which YHWH1 thy God giveth thee.

  6. Thou shalt not kill.

  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

  8. Thou shalt not steal.

  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Yahweh’s Laws…Are They For Today?

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

www.missiontoisrael.org

Many modern Christians would view an article entitled “Yah’s Laws” as irrelevant, since they believe that the laws of God as found in the Old Testament no longer pertain to us under the New Covenant. Some preachers today go so far as to declare that Yah’s laws have been abolished and thus we are no longer obligated to keep them in any way, shape or form. Why should we not believe such ministers, after all the Apostle Paul declared:

“… [We] are not under law, but under grace….” (Romans 6:14)
and,
“…Christ is the end of the law….” (Romans 10:4)At least 27 additional New Testament Scriptures declare essentially the same thing. With so much Scriptural evidence testifying against the perpetuity of Yah’s laws, how could anyone fail to come to the same conclusion? Why would anyone even dare debate otherwise?

First Appearances Can DeceiveThe evidence appears to support a cut and dried case for the abolishment of God’s laws under the New Covenant – until – one realizes that he has been indoctrinated with only one side of the story. Psalm 119:160 (NASV) instructs us that the sum of God’s Word is truth. In other words, one cannot fully understand God’s will on any particular subject or doctrine until he has examined all the evidence. The same holds true when it comes to the question as to whether Yah’s laws are for today.

Most of modern Christendom has only heard half the story from their ministers, that is, only the scriptures that appear to teach the dissolution of Yah’s laws. It is tragic that those who should be the champions and defenders of God’s laws are silent regarding the greater number of New Testament passages that promote Yah’s laws for today, scriptures such as:

“Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but [what matters is] the keeping of the commandments of God.” (1 Corinthians 7:19) and, “…we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully.” (1 Timothy 1:8)

There are at least 35 additional New Testament Scriptures testifying to the perpetuity of Yah’s law under the New Covenant.

Faced with a DilemmaAre we to believe the 29 New Testament Scriptures that appear to say that Yah’s laws are not for today or the 37 New Testament Scriptures that declare that Yah’s laws are for today?(1) If we begin with the premise that God’s Word is inspired and does not contradict itself, then all 66 passages must be accepted and integrated.

Those who declare that Yah’s laws are no longer pertinent under these New Covenant times often use the Apostle Paul’s epistle to the Galatians to “support” their position:

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto [the] Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Galatians 3:23-35)

Standing upon this passage, anti-law Christians are quick to announce, “See, the law is no longer for today!” And they are absolutely right! However, it must be asked, “Which law is no longer for today?” The Greek word “nomos,” from which the New Testament word “law” is translated, has a variety of New Testament applications:

  1. Any law whatsoever.
  2. The law of Yeshua (2) the Christ.
  3. The entire Old Testament, including the Psalms and the Prophets.
  4. The Pentateuch, that is, the first five books of the Old Testament.
  5. The Mosaic Covenant, including its sacrificial and ceremonial laws.
  6. The sacrifices and/or ceremonial components of the Mosaic Covenant.
  7. The laws of God as contained in the commandments, statutes and judgments.
  8. One aspect of the laws of God: the commandments or the statutes or the judgments.

Christians who teach that Yah’s laws are no longer applicable usually choose some combination of numbers 6 and 7 for that which is referred to by Paul in Galatians 3. They make the same application to the 28 New Testament passages that also appear to do away with Yah’s laws. Seldom, if ever, do they consider the other options. In fact, in most instances, they have not even been taught that there are other options.

The Correct ChoiceDo Galatians 3 and the other 28 New Testament Scriptures declare that the commandments, statutes and judgments have been abolished? In verses 16 and 17 of Galatians 3, Paul identified which law he was addressing. He first referenced the promises given to Abraham and then contrasted them with “…the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after….” In verse19, Paul continued, “Wherefore then … the law? It was added because of transgressions….” Paul identified the law he referred to in Galatians 3 as a law that was added four hundred and thirty years after the promises were given to Abraham. Consequently, only that which was added at Mt. Sinai was abolished when faith came. In other words, anything that was in existence prior to the covenant that was consummated at Mt. Sinai cannot be that which was abolished by Yeshua. Most Christians are unaware that Yah’s law, specifically His commandments, statutes and judgments, existed before their codification at Mt. Sinai. Although there is no evidence that they existed in written form, nonetheless, they were verbally passed on from father to son among the Hebrews and Israelites.

Prior Existence of Yah’s LawsThere is evidence for the existence of Yah’s laws before Mt. Sinai in several places. For example, Abraham kept the same laws later codified by Moses:

Abraham obeyed my [Yahweh's] voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. (Genesis 26:5)

The book of Jasher(3) further verifies and expounds upon Abraham’s law observance:

“…Abram served the Lord his God all the days of his life, and he walked in His ways and followed His law.” (Jasher 12:42)

Later in the same book, Abraham is found reminding his son, Isaac, of God’s instructions and then elaborates upon what should be understood by law:

“…He [Yahweh] said unto me [Abraham], to thy seed I will give all these lands, and they shall inherit them when they keep my commandments, my statutes and my judgments that I have commanded thee, and which I shall command them.” (Jasher 26:24)

Note the breakdown of the law into three integral components – commandments, statutes and judgments – the same breakdown of Yah’s laws that Moses provided in Deuteronomy 4:13-14. Abraham (in the book of Jasher) continued to instruct Isaac:

Now therefore my son, hearken to my voice, and keep the commandments of the Lord thy God … that it may be well with thee and thy children forever. …teach then thy children and thy seed the instruction of the Lord and His commandments.” (Jasher 26:25-27)

Although Yah’s laws were not yet written on stone, obviously they were written on Abraham’s mind and heart, and he verbally passed them on to his progeny.

Moreover, the law identified in Galatians 3 was “added because of transgressions.” Transgression of what? The Apostle John defined sin as a violation of God’s law:

…whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (1 John 3:4)

Consequently, the sin alluded to by Paul, in Galatians 3, must have been transgression of the unwritten laws of Yahweh already in existence. In order for there to be transgression, there also has to be law. Therefore, the laws of Yahweh existed prior to that which was added at Mt. Sinai, since where there was no law there could be no transgression. Yahweh’s commandments, statutes and judgments were in existence prior to the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt; therefore they were not the law that was added at Mt. Sinai. Accordingly, neither the commandments, the statutes nor the judgments were abolished at the time of Yeshua the Christ.(4)

The Added LawSince Yahweh’s Divine Law, codified by Moses, was not the law that the Apostle Paul was alluding to in Galatians 3, then to what law was he referring? Hebrews 7:19-22 uses the words “covenant” and “law” interchangeably. Thus, it was the Mosaic Covenant that was added and later abolished. The Covenant and all things included in the Covenant that were not in existence prior to its inauguration was the law that was added at Mt. Sinai. Thus the Mosaic Covenant was also the law that was abolished with the coming of Yeshua.

What exactly was added to the existing oral law four hundred and thirty years after the promises were given to Abraham? The Mosaic Covenant including the Levitical Priesthood, sacrifices for justification and forced compliance to Yah’s laws for righteousness. The Apostle Paul, once again, wrote:

Wherefore the [Mosaic] law [Covenant] was our schoolmaster to bring us unto [the] Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster [the Mosaic Law Covenant]. (Galatians 3:24-25)

Why? Because, under the New Covenant, Yeshua became our high priest and His body (the ekklesia) became His priesthood, Yeshua became our sacrifice and through His sacrifice, Yeshua became our justification.

Forced Compliance versus Voluntary ComplianceThe major difference between the Mosaic and Abrahamic Covenants was forced compliance versus voluntary compliance. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatian Christians that the law, that is the Mosaic Covenant, was added because of Israel’s transgressions. In other words, since the Israelites did not love Yahweh and their fellow man enough to freely comply with His oral laws that were in existence under the Abrahamic Covenant, God put them under forced compliance or custody (Galatians 3:23 NASV) by way of the Mosaic Covenant. Under that Covenant, the Israelites were forced to keep His laws in order to be justified before God. Moses put it in the following fashion:

it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before YHWH our God, as he hath commanded us. (Deuteronomy 6:25)

The Apostle Paul declared that it was this forced compliance for righteousness that Yeshua abolished:

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Romans 10:4)

Paul did not say that Yeshua “is the end of the law” period, but that Yeshua was “the end of the law [or covenant] for righteousness.” Contrast Deuteronomy 4:13 with Hebrews 8:8-10:

And he [Yahweh] declared unto you [Israel] his [old] covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. (Deuteronomy 4:13)…Behold, the days come, saith YHWH(5), when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah…. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith YHWH; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts…. (Hebrews 8:8-10)

Under the Mosaic Covenant, the Israelites were forced to keep the commandments, statutes and judgments written on stone. Under the Abrahamic and Christian Covenants (which are essentially the same), those same commandments, statutes and judgments, written on our minds and hearts, were and are obeyed voluntarily. Through Yeshua the Christ and His sacrifice, we who are living under the New Covenant have been brought back to how Yahweh’s law was to have been observed under the Abrahamic Covenant. Yahweh’s intention all along has been for his people to voluntarily keep His commandments, statutes and judgments that He has written on our hearts.

The Mosaic Covenant was added because of Israel’s failures “til the seed [Yeshua] should come.” He has come, thus it is the Mosaic Covenant that has been abolished, not the Divine Law itself. Let me conclude with the words of the Apostle Paul:

Do we then make void the law [the commandments, judgments and statutes] through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (Romans 3:31)

Could YOU be An Israelite And Not Know It?

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

Mission to Israel

“Here’s a paradox, a paradox, a most ingenious paradox: and anthropological fact, many Christians may have much more Hebrew-Israelite blood in their veins than most of their Jewish neighbors.” 1

–Alfred M. Lilienthal, Author of “What Price Israel?”

Could there possibly be any truth to this? If so, it would mean that the majority of Christendom and the rest of society has misidentified the people most prominent in the Bible. If Israel has been misidentified there is no doubt that major errors in doctrinal interpretation and application of Biblical prophecy have been made!

There are a variety of stories regarding the Israelites and their modern – day identity. It is not the purpose of this tract to relate another of these stories. Instead, it will furnish you with the rest of the story, the true story regarding Israel’s modern identity, the one found in the Scriptures and verified by archeology and history — a story not usually told by most preachers.

SPIRITUAL ISRAEL

A large segment of Christianity is being taught that God no longer has a plan for physical Israel under the New Covenant, and that He is now working with only a spiritual Israel. For example, in the January/February 1991 issue of The Last Trump, Dr. Ed Moore claimed:

“Hence, we can begin to see that being the children of Abraham (today under the New Covenant) has nothing to do with race.” 2

In his book Clouds over America, Leonard C. Lee concluded:

“Since God rejected the Israelites as a nation, we can look for the fulfillment of His purposes only in [a] spiritual Israel. . . The [physical] Israelites have now passed off the stage of action. . .3

In essence, these men and others of the same persuasion, are proclaiming that God has no New Covenant plan for physical Israel. Yet, contrast these statements with what the inspired writer of Hebrews wrote:

“Behold days are coming, says the YHWH* when I will effect a New Covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah. . .” (Hebrews 8:8).

While some people attempt to spiritualize this passage of Scripture to fit their preconceived ideas or to harmonize it with their denomination’s teachings, the Israelites cannot be spiritualized in this verse, and for three reasons.

First, the context will not allow it. The very next verse dictates as to whether the Israelites spoken of in verse eight are to be deemed as being either physical or spiritual:

“Not like the [Mosaic] covenant which I made with their [the house of Israel's and the house of Judah's] fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt…” (Hebrews 8:9)

The people described in this passage, with whom the New Covenant was and is being made, are clearly the physical descendants of the physical people whom Moses led out of Egypt.

The second reason Israel cannot be spiritualized is illustrated by the Old Testament passage from which Hebrews 8:8-12 is quoted. The author of Hebrews quoted the Prophet Jeremiah, and Jeremiah continued with the following:

“Thus says YHWH, who gives the sun for light by day, and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by day…. If this fixed order departs from before Me … then the offspring of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever. Thus says YHWH, If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out below, then I will also cast off the offspring of Israel…. ” (Jeremiah 31:35-37)

Since the fixed order of the sun, moon and stars has not departed, and since the heavens have not been measured, and the depths of the earth searched out below, then it is quite apparent that God is still working with the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If not, then God has lied.

The third reason the Israelites in Hebrews 8:8 cannot be spiritualized is because of the second witness found in Romans where the Apostle Paul declared:

“For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from [the] Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom belong … the covenants….” (Romans 9:3-4)

Not only do the previous three passages specifically declare that God made His New Covenant with Israelites, but there are many more New Testament passages which reveal that God continues to work with the physical nation of Israel to this day.**

There can be no question that God, under the New Covenant, has a plan for physical Israel (at least with the remnant who have, and are being redeemed by the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua*** the Christ).

This being the case, it behooves Christianity to correctly identify the true descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

TODAY’S JEWS

Nearly all of Christendom is being taught that today’s “Jews” represent Israel. Yet, how many of those same people have ever been taught that the Bible warns us of Israelite impostors? That’s right, non-Israelites who fallaciously claim to be Israelites:

“I know …the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews [i.e., Judahites, thus Israelites] and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” (Revelation 2:9)

Also, how many Christians have been told that there is actually a people who admit to being those impostors? For example, The 1980 Jewish Almanac’s first chapter entitled “Identity Crisis,” begins with the following admission:

“Strictly speaking, it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a ‘Jew’ or to call a contemporary Jew an ‘Israelite’ or a ‘Hebrew.’” 4

This amazing confession is confirmed by several other Jewish sources and individual Jews. **** Dr. Oscar Levy went so far as to declare:

“And are not they [today's Jews] the inventors of the Chosen People myth?” 5

Why hasn’t Christendom and the American public been told that over 90 percent of the people known as “Jews” are not descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? History reveals they are actually descendants of the fierce Turkish, Mongolian Khazar tribes which roamed the steppes of southern Russia and who adopted the religion of Judaism between the 7th and 9th Centuries. Today, the Khazars are known as “Jews” not because of race, but because of religion. 6

As stated, the Bible declares that there would be Israelite impostors, these impostors have inadvertently or deliberately identified themselves by their own writings. Therefore, if today’s Jewish people are not true Israel, someone else must be!

TRUE ISRAEL

God provided Scriptural clues for identifying Israel of old. There is no debate that ancient Israel fulfilled most of these marks and was identified by them. But even more exciting is the fact that these very same features help us to identify Israel today! Listed below are fifteen national, geographical and spiritual aspects out of hundreds of scriptural clues that positively identify Israel. Ask yourself, what modern-day people do they identify?

5 NATIONAL ASPECTS

  1. Israel was to become a great and mighty nation. (Genesis 12:1-3)
  2. Israel was to become a vast multitude of people. (Genesis 22:17)
  3. Israel was to form a multitude of nations. (Genesis 17:4-6)
  4. Israel was to rule over other nations. (Deuteronomy 15:6)
  5. Israel was to be a blessing to all nations. (Genesis 22:18)

5 GEOGRAPHICAL ASPECTS

  1. Israel was to have a new home, other than Canaan Land. (2 Samuel 7:10)
  2. Israel’s new land was to be inhabited by people gathered from many nations. (Ezekiel 38:8)
  3. Israel was to have a land of unwalled villages, without walls, bars or gates. (Ezekiel 38:11)
  4. Israel was to have a land of great agricultural wealth. (Deuteronomy 28:8-11)
  5. Israel’s land was described as being the “camp of the saints.” (Revelations 20:7-9)

5 SPIRITUAL ASPECTS

  1. Israel was to have a new religion and be saved by Yahweh. (Jeremiah 31:7,31-37)
  2. Israel was to carry the gospel to all the world. (Isaiah 49:3-6)
  3. Israel was to be the only nation given God’s Law. (Psalm 147:19-20)
  4. Israel was to be blind for the most part to her identity. (Isaiah 42:16-19)
  5. Israel was to be called by a new name. (Isaiah 62:1-2)

If Israel exists today, as she must, there is only one people whom all these identifying marks fit — and they certainly do not represent the modern-day “Jews.” They do however, describe perfectly the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian, and kindred peoples; the multitude of nations who became a great nation, with a new home, a new religion, and who have blessed the world with the gospel of Yeshua and numerous other blessings.

Indeed, Alfred Lilienthal (a “Jew”) understood what most Celto-Saxons do not: Many Christians have much more Hebrew-Israelite blood in their veins than do their modern “Jewish” neighbors.

CONCLUSION

The Prophet Isaiah spoke of a time in the future when “the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen, and the mind of the hasty will discern truth.” (Isaiah 32:3-4) It is the purpose of this short tract to assist in the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy in regard to the true identity of Israel. We have very briefly demonstrated and provided evidence for the following three facts:

  • God has a New Covenant plan for physical Israel today.
  • Today’s “Jews” are not Israelites, but instead impostors.
  • The Celto-Saxon peoples are Israelites, the true descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

You now have the rest of the story, the true story concerning Israel’s modern-day identity; it is up to you what you do with it. It is our prayer that Isaiah’s prophecy will be fulfilled in you, and that you will do your part in awakening other Israelites to their identity, and to their responsibility to God as His people.

Tithing…Should we or not?

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

Num 18:24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering unto YHWH, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

According to this, tithes are given to the Levites, which were the priest of the people that stood between God and the people and were to see after the people. Since they were not given an inheritance as the other eleven tribes were given, the eleven gave tithes to support them and their families.

Num 18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up a heave offering of it for YHWH, even a tenth part of the tithe.

Of all that they received they were to offer up a tenth of it to YHWH as a heave offering.

1d) an offering (of grain, money, etc)

1e) contribution

Num 18:28 Thus ye also shall offer a heave offering unto YHWH of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof YHWH’s heave offering to Aaron the priest.

A tenth of all was to be given to Aaron the priest as a heave offering.

I ask you, where is Aaron today? Since He obviously has gone to his grave, where is the “priest” from Levi we are to give it to? Many will say that your local pastor at your church is the one now today standing in the shoes of the Levite priest but that begs another question. If the tithes were for the Levites and the priesthood and through Yeshua’s death and resurrection He is now our priest and has fulfilled the Levitical priesthood since in fact on His mother side of the family, He is from Levi as well as Judah, would not we give Yeshua our tithe? I mean since the priesthood has been fulfilled, animal sacrifice became an abomination before Yahweh and He had the Temple DESTROYED for it. Would not one also note that if there is no priesthood, no temple, no animal sacrifice there also would be the fulfillment of paying tithes. What can you give to Yeshua the Messiah? He has everything! He already owns it all. Many say give a 10th and receive a blessing or take 100% with a curse. Those paying tithes are poor, oppressed, prisoners, and slaves and they think they will get a blessing if they give away their means of survival to their pastor. While they suffer financially, their pastor benefits. How very sad..You call that a blessing? I call it ignorance.

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Why do we pay tithes? Is it to keep us out of hell or because the pastor scares the crap out of us and we give in fear? We fear a curse yet because of our obligation to our organization and lack of knowledge and relationship with YHWH we are under a curse. If He destroyed the temple because the people continued to sacrifice animals for their sins after His one and only begotten son died for sins and was rejected, think not He will destroy us for doing the same thing with tithing and also in doing so we are rejecting Yeshua as well?

Yeshua is the fulfillment of the Levitical priesthood. He fulfilled that which was added to the law because of sin. He is the fulfillment of the Mosaic Covenant. Do not misunderstand here. I’ll have you not be ignorant my brethren, All that was before the added law, (10 commandments & their statutes and judgments, food laws, Sabbaths and feasts etc) are still in effect. Only that which was added is fulfilled being the Levitical priesthood. It was added because of Israel’s lawlessness or better understood as sin. Yeshua is our high priest. He is the doorway to the Father. They are one. No catholic priest can stand in for you, no tithe accepting pastor can give you the key to enter and come to the Father….YESHUA is the only way!!!

Deu 12:6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

Deu 12:7 And there ye shall eat before YHWH your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein YHWH thy God hath blessed thee.

Tithing wasn’t even money. Here it is food and they were to EAT IT THEMSELVES in front of Yahweh!!!

Deu 26:12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

The third year tithing was for the stranger, orphan and widow to EAT and be filled. Once again it was food not money. What would your pastor say if you put a loaf of bread in the offering plate next time or a living chicken? He would be offended. Yet this is exactly what tithing was for. “To meet the needs of certain others.” Not to meet the needs of the pastors lifestyle.

Neh 13:5 And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where formerly they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

What no money?

This scripture is so misused in churches today

Mal 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Mal 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith YHWH of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Meat in His house was just as it says. Meat is food not money. The storehouse was used to feed the Levites and their families and when there was a need, they saw to the needs.

The following text says it very plainly that Yeshua is the High priest and through Him the Levitical law was fulfilled and made new.

Heb 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Heb 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Heb 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Heb 7:7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

Heb 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Heb 7:9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.

Heb 7:10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.

Heb 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Heb 7:13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

Heb 7:14 For it is evident that our Messiah sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

Heb 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,

Heb 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Heb 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Heb 7:20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

Heb 7:21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Messiah swore and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek:)

Heb 7:22 By so much was Yeshua made a surety of a better testament.

Heb 7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Heb 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Heb 7:26 For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

The next is most important……

Heb 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Heb 7:28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated forevermore.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself

WAKE UP PEOPLE! Stop giving money to the enemy….

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. YHWH is my shepherd; I shall not want.

If this is true why O why do you go to man. If YHWH is truly your shepherd you shall not want for man to mislead you. O how far we have fallen from our first love!

Ecc 12:11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

Ecc 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

One shepherd… The duty of man is to RESPECT and REVERENCE GOD AND AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!

Isa 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Yeshua!!!!

Eze 34:8 As I live, saith YHWH God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;

Zec 10:2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

If you are paying tithes to a pastor. YOU are the prey and your pastor is the beast shepherd that feeds himself at your expense…. And because you do.. You follow every lie out of their mouth and every doctrine except truth! Is your life full of garbage and turmoil? I wonder why.

GOOD NEWS….WE HAVE A SHEPHERD AND HE DOESN’T WANT YOUR MONEY!! He wants your HEART!

Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

You do not give to Him…He gives to you!!!!!

Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Joh 10:12 But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

Joh 10:13 The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

Joh 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Yeshua is our Shepherd. We have no need for a money hungry greedy self-indulgent whore we call a man of god before us in the pulpit. Preaching that if you don’t give your 10th you go to hell or take a curse and then satan will come after you. He cares not for you. He only wants your money to make his car payment.

YESHUA IS THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!

NO man can come to the Father except through Yeshua. This includes your church, and your pastor or priest.

Yeshua compared to the lamb of Passover

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

The Passover Lamb

On the 10th day of the first month (Nisan) a ceremonial procession of priest, musicians and people entered Jerusalem and the Temple from the east bringing the Passover lamb. This was the lamb that would be publicly offered in addition to those offerings brought by each household. The multitude of people waved palm branches before the lamb and sang, “O YHWH, save us; O YHWH, grant us success. Blessed is he who comes in the name of YHWH. Which is a quote from Psalms 118:25,26.

On the days between the 10th and the 14th, the priest to make sure they were perfect without spot or blemish examined the lambs. Also during this time people gathered in the courtyard to listen to discussions of the scriptures by learned men.

On the 14th day at the third hour (9AM) the Passover Lamb that had been on display for four days in the Temple was now bound to the altar. On the ninth hour (3PM Noon), the High Priest took his knife and killed the lamb, proclaiming the words, “It is finished!” the blood of the offerings was caught in a vessel and poured onto the ground at the base of the altar by the priest.

Yeshua keeping the Passover’
Luke 2:41-42 shows a young Yeshua observing Passover with his family.
Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom.
John 2:13 says
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Yeshua went up to Jerusalem.
It was here at this time Yeshua declared to the Pharisees of his death and resurrection
John 2:19
Yeshua answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

Yeshua as the Passover Lamb’
Yeshua fulfilled all the requirements for being the lamb offered up for our sins: a male, first born of his mother, perfect and without defect.

On the 10th day of the first month (Nisan), Yeshua entered the Temple in Jerusalem to face his coming death as the Passover Lamb. The crowd of people went before him waving palm branches and shouting, “Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of YHWH.” John 12:13b

On the days between the 10th and the 14th, Yeshua joined the learned men teaching in the Temple. There the leaders examined him much like the Passover Lamb was before the Passover. He taught the parable tenants (Mark 12) which had a prophetic meaning of this feast pointing to his death.

After being arrested, Yeshua was examined even further; a lamb without spot or blemish had been found.
John 19:6b
Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

On the morning of the 14th day of the first month at the third hour (9AM) Yeshua was bound to the tree at a place called Golgotha located north of the Temple, fulfilling the provision of the Most Set-apart (Qodesh) Offering (sacrifice). He hung there for six hours.

At the ninth hour (3PM) He proclaimed, “It is finished!’ and died.
John 19:28-30
After this, Yeshua knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Yeshua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit (life).

Exodus 12:46 was also fulfilled in Yeshua’s offering. Not a bone of the lamb was to be broken. However he was pierced in the side and blood and water poured out on the ground, just as the blood of the Passover lamb was poured out from the vessel at the base of the altar.

John 19:32-37

Then came the soldiers, and break the legs of the first, and of the other, which was crucified with him. But when they came to Yeshua, and saw that he was dead already, they break not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, they shall look on him whom they pierced.

Now knowing the customs at the Temple performed on Passover compared to seeing by scriptures step by step what Yeshua was doing and did concerning the Passover we can see that once again Yah’s Weh is perfected! Yeshua is indeed the Passover Lamb that offered himself for the ultimate offering. In love he covered a multitude of our sins and reconciled us back to the father.

Blessed indeed is He that comes in the name of YHWH!

A True Oxymoron!

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

An oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms. Oxymoron is a loanword from Greek oxy (“sharp”) and moros (“dull”). Thus the word oxymoron is itself an oxymoron.

“Messianic Jew”

Messianic – Messianic primarily means: of the Messiah. Those claiming this in faith have a belief in Messiah.

Jew - The ethnicity and the religion of Judaism, the traditional faith of the Jewish nation, are strongly interrelated, and converts to Judaism are both included and have been absorbed within the Jewish people throughout the millennia. The belief in the Talmud.

Jews do not believe in Messiah and Messianic’s say they do.

Well, which is it? Believe or not?

To be both means you believe in Messiah and practice Judaism and is an oxymoron and by the practice of Judaism the true heart felt belief in Messiah is missing or one would no longer practice something that the Messiah condemns in scripture and calls simply put “evil” and “traditions of men”. John tells us that if anyone believes not that the messiah became flesh that they are anti-Messiah. This describes the term “Jew”. No longer does Jew have anything to do with being from the bloodline of Judah. It is now a false religion and to support it we become false prophets and guilty of their evil doings.

Many Messianic are ignorant to the truth behind Judaism for fear of doing or saying anything against what they claim is God’s chosen people. NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY THE JEW IS CHOSEN. Matter of fact it says the opposite. Fear of YHWH isn’t cowering in a corner it is respect and reverence and it takes the love of the truth to know what that means.

Make a choice….Messiah or Judaism..You cannot be both….. There is no such thing as a Messianic Jew.

Marriage, Divorce & Remarriage EVIL?

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

Marriage, Divorce & Remarriage EVIL?

This is a personal subject to me. I grew up in a Christian church until one day when I had been treated like trash one time too many. I went to other churches within the same denomination for a while until YHWH ‘called me out of her’. This subject was important to me because this organization misused and still misuses scripture and as a result people are mistreated and hurt (which is probably a good thing to keep their attendance small).

I was what they consider, “in a double marriage” meaning my husband had been married once before me and she is still alive. Therefore I was to divorce my husband (the father of ALL my children) and encourage him to go back to his ex wife (that was also remarried). I was harassed because they wanted my talents in their church but didn’t want me to be apart of them as long as I was a sinner. (by their terms of course). Unless I divorced and destroyed my children, I could not be a member (not that I even wanted to be). Not being a member meant God couldn’t use me in service. But the preacher had no problem lining his pockets with my 10% plus freewill offerings, which is a different post all together concerning the truth in tithing for today and what it really means. This pain I felt made this subject very real to me. I left that church after only growing up in it and being related to most of the local members and I have NEVER looked back. I started searching for truth in this area. I needed peace because I was tormented by the scares that were put in me by my own family. This is what I found.

Marriage

Genesis 2:18
And YHWH Elohim said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:21-24
And YHWH Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

And the rib, which YHWH Elohim had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of YHWH.

According to these passages in scripture, marriage is a good thing. It was from the beginning ordained and blessed by YHWH.

Since we clearly can understand that this is good in YHWH’s eyes would not it then be safe to say that divorce would be wrong? That is what churches teach that Malachi was inspired to write:

“For I hate divorce, says YHWH, the Elohim of Israel.” Malachi 2:16

Isn’t that what it says? No it doesn’t! I am not saying that divorce is a good thing or a bad thing. I am sure that YHWH does in some cases hate divorce. Divorce is usually a negative action that hurts all those involved. Divorce leaves its marks on generations that follow especially if children are involved. It leaves emotional scars and sometimes leads to murder or even suicide. But before we can know when and if YHWH hates it or if it is wrong, we first have to know the truth in what is actually being said and not man made doctrines and beliefs dragging and pulling us down.

Deuteronomy 24:1
When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

According to YHWH, divorce was an option, but for what a reason was it allowed?

1. She finds no favor in his eyes
2. He hath found some uncleanness in her.

When we enter into the New Testament era, preachers will say that Yeshua (Jesus) changed the law on divorce. Whereas Moses wrote that a man could divorce his wife for any just cause, in the scriptures JC appears to limit divorce to only cases of adultery. Although many Christians have taken this position on divorce, I doubt whether they really understand what doing so implies. If their theology is correct, then Yeshua would have been a sinner, or at the very least promoting sin. In order for Yeshua to have been our perfect sinless sacrifice He had to fully keep and accurately teach the Old Covenant Law. The Apostle John declared, “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.” (1 John 3:4). Thus, had Yeshua broken or changed the law, He would have been guilty of sin and thus could not have been our Savior.

Even if Yeshua had changed YHWH’s moral law under the New Covenant dispensation, as some Christians dispensationalist claim, His dissertations on divorce in the scriptures were given during the Old Covenant dispensation. Additionally, Yeshua Himself declared, “…Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18).

Whatever the law on divorce was in Deuteronomy 24, not the smallest letter or stroke of it was changed by Yeshua. Therefore, we can safely conclude that something is wrong with the theology usually advanced regarding divorce.

The erroneous interpretation of Yeshua’s instructions can be traced to two modern mistakes.

1. This error is first made because most of today’s preachers and commentators believe that YHWH’s Old Covenant laws have been abolished and replaced, thus they seldom consult them.
2. Secondly, mistaken conclusions on this subject are derived from translation errors in most modern English versions of the Bible.

One mistake I have often seen in my personal life is preachers following their organization rather than God himself.

Divorce & Remarriage

Let us begin by going back to YHWH’s law concerning divorce. In Deuteronomy 24 we find that the divorce process can be broken down into three parts:

Deut 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

1. The husband must write out a certificate of divorce
2. He must deliver it himself to his wife
3. He must then send her away.

It takes all three in order for the divorce to be lawful, and to be recognized by YHWH. A husband was not allowed to simply send his wife out into the streets. He was to formally divorce her through the ordained process. She was to be given a certificate of divorce, that is, a breaking of the lawful contract of marriage with a lawful contract of divorce. In other words, she was to be provided with proof that she was a lawfully divorced woman.

This is more serious than probably it first appears. Without this lawful document, and if a woman was to “remarry” or attach herself to another man, she and the one whom she “remarried” would have been considered adulterers, and that was a stoning offense!

In this light, the writ of divorcement was intended to be a letter of protection for the woman, more than a letter of permission for the man.

Also I must add it is an abomination to go back to your first spouse in many cases just as it would have been for YHWH to return to Israel after divorcing her had he not died releasing her from the contract of marriage.

Deu 24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before YHWH: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which YHWH thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

So it is safe to say that previous harassment from the church I went to was wrong on their part and they were in fact telling me to allow my husband to go back to a previous wife and commit an abomination to YHWH.

“Divorce” & “Put Away”

In addition, the two terms “divorce” and “sends her out” (also translated as “put away” and “send away”) should also be considered. It is extremely important to understand that nowhere in the Scriptures are these two terms used interchangeably. The Hebrew word for “divorce” in Deuteronomy 24:1 is found in only two other locations: Isaiah 50:1, describing Yahweh’s future divorce of the House of Judah, and Jeremiah 3:8, regarding Yahweh’s previous divorce of the House of Israel.

Deuteronomy 24, Isaiah 50 and Jeremiah 3 are the only three instances where the Hebrew word for “divorce” can be found in the Old Testament. That is right; this is not the word used in Malachi 2:16 as would be expected if God were saying that He hated divorce in that passage.

The Hebrew word translated “divorce” is a very specific term, and in all three instances it is used in conjunction with the term “bill,” “writ,” or “certificate.” On the other hand the Hebrew word translated “sent out” or “put away” is a very common term and is used nearly a thousand times in the Old Testament. (Malachi 2) There is no interchangeability between these two Hebrew words. One could not be divorced without being put away. However, one could be put away without being divorced. It is this latter condition that was addressed by the Prophet Malachi:

Malachi 2:13-14
And this have ye done again, covering the altar of YHWH with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he (YHWH) no longer regards the offering any more, or receives it with good will at your hand.

Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because YHWH hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

Note that the women spoken of in this situation were still considered as being wives by covenant or contract with their husbands, that is, they had never been lawfully divorced.

Malachi 2:15-16
…….Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

For YHWH, the Elohim of Israel, saith that he hates divorce: for one covers violence with his garment, saith YHWH of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

Is that how YHWH intended this verse to be translated? No it is not. Had He intended this, He would have inspired Malachi to use the same Hebrew word translated as “divorce” in the twenty-fourth chapter of Deuteronomy. Instead, He inspired Malachi to use the same Hebrew word translated as “sends her out” or “put away” in Deuteronomy 24.

The King James Version translated Malachi 2:16 correctly:

For YHWH, the Elohim of Israel saith that He hates [the] putting away….

In other words, the treachery committed by these men was not in divorcing their wives, but rather in that they were putting their wives away without a certificate of divorce. In their vindictiveness, they were putting their wives in a horrible no win predicament. If the wives had “remarried” or had attached themselves to another man, they would have been subject to stoning for adultery since without a certificate of divorce they were still lawfully married to their first husband. If they would not commit adultery then these women were left to fend for themselves, which was nearly impossible under the conditions of that time.

Consequently, one can perceive the treachery in what these men were doing, and consequently understand why God would hate it. You can also visualize the hardness of some men’s hearts and then understand why Yahweh would provide for divorce (Mark 10:2-5). On the other hand, if divorce itself is treachery then even God promoted it by allowing for it and even making provisions for it in Deuteronomy 24. Additionally, God would be guilty of treachery Himself since He divorced His wife, Israel.

New Testament Divorce & Remarriage

Much has been misunderstood about this subject, resulting in many individuals being injured and carrying unnecessary guilt that was laid upon the backs of those that have been divorced. This has occurred because much of modern Christianity has rejected YHWH’s perfect law and because of the mistranslation of some key words pertaining to this subject.

The same has happened with the New Testament Scriptures. YHWH is not the author of confusion, thus He cannot be blamed for the turmoil over this subject. Rather, man is to be blamed for it. The devastation of divorce is undeniable, however under certain conditions both divorce and remarriage were permitted according to YHWH’s Law as provided to us in Deuteronomy 24:1-4. Taking then what we have already learned from the Old Testament let us now see if we can not make sense of Yeshua’s statements in the New Testament on this important subject.

The two Hebrew words translated “divorce” and “sent out” or “put away” in Deuteronomy 24 mean two different things and are not interchangeable. The same is true with the corresponding New Testament Greek words. The Greek word for “put away” is apoluo, whereas the Greek word for “divorce” is apostasion. With this knowledge, let us examine Yeshua’s instructions on divorce and remarriage in Matthew 5:

Matthew 5:31-32

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

Yeshua was simply quoting Deuteronomy 24:1, which declares that it is not permissible for someone to put away his wife without giving her a certificate of divorce. Verse 32 in the King James Version continues:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away [apoluo] his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery; and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced [apoluo] commit adultery. (Matthew 5:32-33 KJV)

Had the King James translators rendered the last apoluo as “put away” it would have been perfect. If God had wanted this last phrase to have read “whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery,” He would have inspired Matthew to have used the word apostasion. Instead it should have been rendered, “whosoever shall marry her that is put away commits adultery.”

If, in verses 32 and 33, Yeshua had said what the King James’ translators wrote, Yeshua would have been guilty of heresy for having changed YHWH’s Law. Earlier in Matthew 5, Yeshua Himself declared:

Think not that I [Yeshua] am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. …Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven…. (Matthew 5:17-19)

Are we to believe that Yeshua is “least in the kingdom of heaven”? We have no choice but to admit that He is if the translators of the King James versions are correct.

The first phrase of verse 32 in the New American Standard reads: “…everyone who divorces his wife, except for the cause of unchastity, makes her commit adultery….” In YHWH’s law (Deuteronomy 24:1-4) divorce is not limited to just cases of unchastity. If the New American Standard is correct then Yeshua is at variance with Yahweh’s morality as communicated to us in His laws.

In the latter part of verse 32, both the New American Standard and King James translators have Yeshua declaring that “whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” Yet YHWH’s law (Deuteronomy 24:1-4) allowed for a properly divorced woman to remarry. On the other hand, when verse 32 is translated correctly we find that Yeshua is in perfect harmony with the Law of YHWH as one would expect Him to be. He was simply saying that any man who only puts away his wife, that is, without a writ of divorcement (a lawful breaking of the marriage contract with a lawful divorce contract) causes his wife to commit adultery if she “remarries.” And the one who “marries” a woman only put away but not lawfully divorced commits adultery as well since by contract she would still be the wife of another man.

The Exception Clause

With the foregoing understood, someone is sure to inquire, “What about the exception clause in Matthew 5:32?” The New American Standard Bible renders it:

“…except for the cause of unchastity….”

The King James Version renders it much better:

“…saving for the cause of fornication….”

The word “fornication” is translated from the Greek word porneia. What constitutes porneia or fornication? Rather than speculating let us allow the Bible to answer that question for us. Following is a list of acts described by the Greek word “porneia”:

* Incest — 1 Corinthians 5:1
* Harlotry or Prostitution — 1 Corinthians 6:13-18, 10:8
* Forbidden Lineage and/or Interracial Relationships — Hebrews 12:15-16
* Homosexuality — Jude 7

Those four acts of immorality are all identified in the New Testament as being cases of porneia translated as fornication. Although not specifically identified as such in the New Testament there are other immoral acts that should also be viewed as fornication:

* Bestiality — Leviticus 20:15-16
* Remarrying a Divorced Wife a Second Time After She Married Again and was Divorced from Her Second Husband — Deuteronomy 24:1-4
* Marrying an Unlawfully Divorced Woman — Matthew 5:32

The foregoing acts should all be identified as fornication because porneia is simply unlawful sexual relationships. So what do these acts have to do with what Yeshua declared in Matthew 5:31-32?

Yeshua in Concert with Yahweh’s Laws

It must be remembered that in Matthew 5 Yeshua was not condemning divorce, but rather the putting away of a wife without a bill of divorcement. Following is Matthew 5:31-32 as it should have been translated, including what can now be understood as being acts of fornication:

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away [apoluo] his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement [apostasion]: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away [apoluo] his wife [without a writing of divorcement], saving for the cause of fornication [incest, prostitution, forbidden lineage and/or interracial relationships, homosexuality, etc.], causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is put away [apoluo, without a writing of divorcement] commits adultery. (Matthew 5:31-32)

In other words, a man is not permitted to put away his mate without a certificate of divorce unless it is an incestuous relationship, or one with a prostitute, or a forbidden lineage or interracial relationship, or one with someone of the same sex, or one with an animal, or one with a wife previously divorced and divorced a second time, or one with a woman unlawfully divorced.

Note: I identified these as relationships not marriages since in YHWH’s eyes none of these relationships constitute a lawful marriage. That is why a man could put away these partners without having to provide them with a certificate of divorce. In these cases, a bill of divorcement was not required since (from YHWH’s perspective) there was no lawful marriage contract that required annulment with a divorce certificate. These kinds of relationships only required repentance and the putting away of the unlawful partner. It is lawfully married according to YHWH that matters and not legally married by man’s laws.

In Ezra 10:1-9 YHWH provided us with a Biblical example of such a separation. Nowhere in this passage is a certificate of divorce required for the Israelites to “separate [put away] … their strange wives.” The following passage from the book of Ezra provides us with the reason why a writ of divorcement was unnecessary:

…The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands … even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands…. (Ezra 9:1-2)

All of the nations cited in that passage with whom the Israelites had intermingled were descended either from Canaanites, Moabites or Ammonites; all of which were lineages that YHWH had forbid Israel to intermarry. Thus they were unlawful unions, and therefore acts of fornication due to idolatry. Hence, in that particular instance, they were not required to present them with a certificate of divorce. They were only required to repent of their sins and put away their foreign pagan wives. This is the correct interpretation of the exception clause. It validates YHWH’s Law and Yeshua’s confirmation of the same. Anything else puts Yeshua in conflict with the Law and morality of YHWH. Instead of being at variance with YHWH’s Law, Yeshua was simply expounding upon the same. In so doing, He confirmed that Deuteronomy 24:1-4 was the standard for divorce and remarriage except in cases of fornication according to YHWH’s interpretation of fornication and not mans. Scriptures must harmonize and not be pitted against one another. What was in the old is also meant to be in the new. Some of the study above includes information I found in my search for truth and they have been valuable to me in many areas. This study set me free from the bondage I was in concerning the subject. Whom Yeshua sets free is free indeed. I am sure many will not agree with this study however that is between you and YHWH. We will either accept truth and wisdom or reject it.

This is a list of scriptures from the website of the church I attended that they use to base THEIR doctrine on concerning this subject.

Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage Evill (their words not mine)
Matthew 5:32; 19:3-19; 1 Corinthians 7:2; Romans 7:2, 3; 1 Corinthians 5:1-5, 13; 1 Corinthians 6:16-18

You can see a full page of beliefs and scriptures they use for each by visiting their website but be prepared for a can of worms.

UPDATE:

Since I first wrote this they have since updated their site.

Now they have changed this since they now include an exception clause. Apparently their scholars informed them they were biblically wrong so they changed it after decades of judging others by it incorrectly. Sadly, they still have not rightly divided the sum of YHWH’s words and received the whole truth because they believe in the New Testament principle of Word and Spirit according to Acts which isn’t the written words of YHWH nor Yeshua. Sad………

This is now the scripture given and they aren’t calling it an evil any longer. (How considerate of them)

Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage:
Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:18–25; Deuteronomy 6:7; Matthew 5:32; 14:3, 4; 19:3–12; Mark 10:12; Luke 16:18; Romans 7:2, 3; 1 Corinthians 5:1–5, 6:9–18; 7:2, 11; Colossians 3:18–21.

They are all important inspired scriptures yet they haven’t got the whole pictures to capture what YHWH commanded in this subject. I could go point by point but I will let you the reader do that study so you may stand approved unto YHWH for yourself.

What Is In A Name?

Posted by Lynn on July 30, 2008

Before reading please understand how important it is, if you know His name, to use it. Even though we still have to use the other names and titles that man has given the Messiah we need to share truth to those that do not understand the importance of His name.

What Is In A Name?

What is in a name? Have you ever just stopped and asked yourself what your name means to you or to others? If we asked around we might be shocked to know exactly what people think about us based on our name that is our identity. That is how we are identified by others and known. Can you know someone really well and not know his or her name? I don’t think so. If we really want to know someone we would want to know who he or she are and would in fact ask for his or her name. This is what the American Heritage Dictionary says name means.

American Heritage Dictionary

1. A word or words by which an entity is designated and distinguished from others.

2. A word or group of words used to describe or evaluate, often disparagingly.

3. Representation or repute, as opposed to reality: a democracy in name, a police state in fact.

4. A reputation: has a bad name. / A distinguished reputation: made a name for himself as a drummer.

We are designated and distinguished from others by our name, our name is used to describe or evaluate, our reputation is based on our names or what we make them. Names do have meanings. Whether good or bad, they identify us and distinguish us from others.

Should a name be translated or transliterated when changing from one language to another? I am a firm believer that names of people should never be translated but rather transliterated instead. A person’s name is who they are.  If your birth name and what you go by is Donald and you go to another country that doesn’t speak your language, your name to them would still be Donald. They would have to learn how to pronounce your name and even spell in if need be. If we keep our names wherever we go, not only can we keep the letters of our names that may mean something but we keep the meaning of our names as well. So if my name means “noisy lake” do I look for a word in that other language that means “noisy lake”? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Then I would lose the spelling of my name and my name is no longer the same to me. If I keep the spelling of my name I also keep the meaning.

When it came to the name given to Moses (Moshe Rabbeinu – meaning Moses, Our Teacher/Rabbi) upon Mount Sinai, What we have in the interpreted versions of the scriptures is incorrect. They have the Almighty’s name as ‘I AM’. This is not His name. In the beginning of most books containing the scriptures you will read at the beginning of the book before Genesis and the index a little message pertaining to the name of God. While King James had his translators translate the scriptures into English, they took it upon themselves to change the name of the Almighty with the name “the LORD”. Now it should read YHWH. When vowels are added to the all-consonant Hebrew language it becomes Yahweh. They took out the title “Elohim – meaning the mighty one or the strong one” and also replaced it with the title ‘GOD’. The translators that did this placed the Almighty’s name with common titles and didn’t even dare to change the name of idols or pagan deities. By doing this, they take away the meaning of His name and rendered in empty and vain. They changed the name and meaning of the name even though we have been instructed to not take away from or add to the scriptures, which is just what they did. Now today, we have to dig and study and allow Yahweh to guide us to the corrections that must be made for us to receive the whole truth and nothing but HIS truth with man not added into it.

Commandment 3: Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. (Exodus 20:7)

Vain according to the American Heritage Dictionary

1. Not yielding the desired outcome; fruitless: a vain attempt.

2. Lacking substance or worth: vain talk.

3. Excessively proud of one’s appearance or accomplishments; conceited.

4. Archaic Foolish.

The Hebrew word used for vain was #7723 shav’ meaning
in the sense of desolating; evil (as destructive), literally (ruin) or morally (especially guile); figuratively idolatry (as false, subjective), uselessness (as deceptive, objective; also adverbially, in vain):–false(-ly), lie, lying, vain, vanity.

To call Him by a common title given universally to other pagan deities would be calling Yahweh’s name by an evil title and would be breaking the 3rd commandment of Yahweh. Now in knowing what His name truly is, we can find in the scriptures all kind of messages concerning His name and the use of it. His name was replaced nearly 7,000 times in the Tanakh (Old Testament) alone. That is a lot! That is a lot of searching to do to replace all those mistakes in translation, however it will make His already “living words” dance with new life for the reader.

Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of YHWH; Hosanna (oh save!) in the highest(most high, highest).

Now knowing YHWH is pronounced Yahweh what may I ask you does the name Jesus Christ have in common with it? When Mary (Maria or Miriam) was told to name the child “Jesus” as our bibles read, it is misleading to the reader. She was actually told to name him Yeshua also spelled Yahshua and Yeshua. Now I ask, do you see in just the spelling of the Messiah’s real name that both the Messiah and the Almighty have something in common? Yes, Their names are almost the same. Yeshua means “Yah saves His people”.

Now concerning salvation, it is very important that we know His true name. Peter tells us in Acts 4 that it is in His name ONLY that anyone can be saved.

Acts 4:10-12
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yeshua Mashiach of Nazareth, whom ye impelled on a stake/pole, whom Yahweh raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone, which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Now I ask you does it matter if you are saved into Yeshua verse Jesus? If your name were John and everyone called you Willie, would you acknowledge the one calling you by the wrong name? Would you tell them that Willie isn’t your name? What would you do? Now think about the Messiah and what he is doing. He is restoring His father’s name. Why? Because by no other name can we receive salvation. Yeshua has his father’s name therefore it is in the name of Yeshua we are saved, immersed (baptized) for the forgiveness of sins and given the gift of the set apart spirit of Yahweh known as the Ruach haQodesh when we come to repentance. Jesus does have meaning to his name but not in the way one might think. His name carries meaning of sun worship and Greek mythology of the deity Zeus. To call our Messiah by that name is like calling Yahweh by a common, used, vain, and evil title. It’s in vain, which is evil. I do not understand why it is so hard for people today to get his name right. I ask you as I have asked myself, why aren’t we being told His name and this information in our churches? When I first found out about His name, I was so amazed by just the thought of Him having a Hebrew name since He was in fact Hebrew. It was a special and personal experience for me that changed my life. What if calling him Jesus is wrong? Why take chances? This is our future we are talking about. Our LIFE or DEATH!

Exodus 3:14 – 15 And Elohim said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel,
YHWH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Leviticus 19:12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy Elohim: I am YHWH.

Deuteronomy 12:3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

Joshua 23:7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:

Isaiah 42;8 I am YHWH: that is my name: and my esteem will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (such as for example; flags, crosses, fish symbols, etc…)

Isaiah 52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of YHWH, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let YHWH be esteemed: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.

The last two here give a whole new meaning to being hated for His name. No one hates you for the name Jesus or title god. Everyone uses it. However even Christians today will toss you on your head or cast you out from among them for saying Jesus is incorrect or trying to share the truth of Yeshua being His true name. Just as the Pharisees of Yeshua’s day called him a blasphemer for saying He was the Messiah.

I could go on and on with the information pertaining to His name in scriptures but I will leave that up to you to study and show yourself approved before Yahweh.

So just what is profane when speaking that would profane Yahweh’s name? Here is what I think a few things in that area are that would make His name profane.

Profaning the Name of Yahweh

Many words in our language we avoid saying because we sound rather unlearned when we speak them. Our parents, teachers and leaders instruct us that these are profanity. Well, I have a problem. Many of the common everyday words used in churches are profane to the ears of Yahweh and man says nothing. Churches are too busy nailing everything uncomfortable to a cross. Mankind is too caught up in the little three and four letter words that they do not notice and some do not care that when they refer to Yahweh as God they render His name vain. “God” is a universal word used to title many idols, pagans, false mighty ones etc. Why would we want to call Yahweh by a title that has been abused and made unclean? If I were in a city that worshiped a statue and I said the word “god” referring to Yahweh in my mind, they would automatically assume I was speaking of their statue.

“Lord” is another vain title when referring to Elohim Yahweh. “Helios”, a sun-deity, was “the lord of the heaven and the earth” in the Roman Empire. To me that word is also profanity.

These three and four letter words are more profane then the ones society and the churches are hung up on.

“Jesus” was a hard one to come to at first but this name is associated with Zeus the Greek god and because the Greeks didn’t want a Saviour with a Hebrew name it was changed to a name with a pagan meaning to satisfy their flesh. The set-apart scriptures tell us in Acts 4:10-12 that by no other name except Yeshua Mashiach is anyone saved. This is also now profanity to me.

“Christ” is a word from Greek “Christos” meaning anointed but it is also associated with the word “Chrestus” who was the sun-deity “Osiris”. Mashiach or Messiah or even the Anointed One but not Christ. For me this is out.

There is so much history out there concerning these names that I will let you do further research for yourself.

“Holy” should be “set apart” because Holy is the name of a sun-deity that tried to poison the babe Kristna and is celebrated in pagan worship known as the ‘Holy Festival’. Yeshua and the disciples referred to the holy bible as scriptures. I will also. So many words are out there with pagan practices attached to it. It takes study to find these out with Yahweh’s Ruach haQodesh leading the way. One might say that this is just a play on word. So I leave this discussion with the following scriptures.

Exodus 23:13
And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods (mighty ones), neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Deuteronomy 12:3
And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods (mighty ones), and destroy the names of them out of that place.

Jeremiah 23:27
Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

Does this sound like a game to Yahweh? I seriously do not believe it to be so. This is no game, my friend.

Hosea 2:16 – 17
And it shall be at that day, saith YHWH, that thou shalt call me (husband) Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. 17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

Zeph 3:9
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of YHWH, to serve him with one consent.

I believe that is what’s happening today. He is removing the profane things and making our language pure.
We are not to take Yahweh’s name in vain meaning render it empty or worthless. Calling him by these titles is as bad as calling him Baal or Molech. Like it or not, it is breaking one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS that today’s churches don’t want removed from public places, yet its removed from the hearts of many of those attending our churches. Not to mention unpopular in a sermon.

Leviticus 18:21
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy Elohim: I am YHWH.

The word came into English through French from the Latin “profanus”, and its root is quite revealing. It consists of pro- (before, meaning “against” or “away from”) and”fanum” (“temple”). Something that is profane is  “against the temple” or “far from the temple.” In the Scriptures, “temple” refers not to a building alone, but everything all that takes place there—specifically, the true worship of the true Elohim, Yahweh. Thus, not only can foul words and phrases be “far from the temple”—far from the true worship of Yahweh—but also people, behaviors, and even instruments of worship can be profane.

Profane is not a common word in the Scriptures, but wherever it is used, it contains a tremendous amount of gravity. When Yahweh warns against profaning something of His (such as His name, His Sabbaths, His place of worship, His altar, His ordinances, etc.), He is very firm and powerful in His statements to concerning His seriousness. Why is Yahweh so concerned that His people be vigilantly careful with what He designates as clean and unclean, set-apart and not set-apart, or appropriate and profane? Because these designations define His nature, His character, and His way of life. Just as a parent teaches a child what is good and what is not—so the child will grow up mirroring the values of the parent—so Yahweh instructs His children in what is proper and what is not. Without this divine designation, and the accompanying warnings, we would be left to our own devices and would certainly not mirror the values of our Father (see Proverbs 29:15). To be unconcerned with what Yahweh defines as acceptable is to be unconcerned with Yahweh Himself.

Yahweh instructed those that work on the Sabbath to be put to death for profaning the Sabbath. (Exodus 31:14). He killed Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, for offering a strange “profane” fire (Leviticus 10:1-2). He proclaims punishment and disaster on prophets and priests who are profane (Jeremiah 23:11-12, 15-17).  Because of profaning Yahweh’s Sabbaths, the Israelites received Yahweh’s fury and anger, and were scattered among the Gentiles (Ezekiel 20:15-24; 22:6-16). Even after being scattered, they continued to profane His name—something that continues today (Ezekiel 36:16-38; 39:7-8). Clearly, the issue of what is “far from the temple” is not a minor one to Yahweh, even though we are just starting to see these things ourselves. Yahweh is bringing these things he has seen repeatedly through time to our attentions because this is a major issue to Him and should be with us as well.

Ezekiel 44:23-24 foretells of a time when Yahweh’s priests—teachers, leaders—”shall teach my people [Israel] the difference between the set-apart and not set-apart, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean . . .. They shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed meetings, and they shall set-apart My Sabbaths.” But this time is clearly yet future. Right now, we are in a time more accurately described in Ezekiel 22:26: Her priests have violated My law and profaned My set apart things; they have not distinguished between the set-apart things and the profane things, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

These things can be clearly seen in the rejection of the Sabbath in favor of ‘Sun’day worship; in the mixing of theology with mythology—mixing of the set-apart things of Yahweh with the profane things—instead of the Feast of Tabernacles, Xmas and Santa are celebrated and instead of Passover the fertility goddess represented by the eggs and bunnies; and in the remarking at the designations of clean and unclean—acceptable and profane—food. In the Israeli nations, hardly any thought is given to living a set-apart life, even though our Savior clearly tells us, “Be set-apart, for I am set-apart” (Leviticus 11:44-45; 19:2; 20:7; see I Peter 1:15-16). The author of Hebrews exhorts us, “Pursue peace with all people, and purity, without which no one will see the Messiah” (Hebrews 12:14).

The ‘called out believers’ of Yahweh have an even greater responsibility to distinguish between the clean and the unclean—the set-apart and the profane—than the physical peoples of Israel. To whom much is given, much is required (see Luke 12:48). We are called to be lights to the world and witnesses of Yahweh and Yeshua Savior. Our attention to upholding Yahweh’s designation of purity—while shunning the profane—directly influences how much we look like our Father, Yahweh, and the degree to which we are like Yahweh will determine our success in being true and faithful witnesses of Him. Fulfilling His will in love. Please join me in heeding the call to return to His name.  The call “Blessed is he that comes in the name of YAHWEH” is sounding. Those coming into His truth are calling the revelation of His name “Blessed” and delighting in keeping His laws with Yeshua leading the way to truth as our Shepherd.

May the love of Yeshua fall upon us all!
Blessed is the name YESHUA Messiah

What is Wrong With Today’s Church Going Christians?

Posted by Lynn on July 29, 2008

Ignorance…Plain and simple.

Hos 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

2Ti 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Pro 28:10  Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

Jer 4:22  For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Jer 13:10  This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

Psa 14:3  They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Rom 3:12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

What has happened? Well, what has happened is NOTHING. The church is the way it has been for years. The only difference is people of Israel are waking and understanding and seeking knowledge because YHWH has touched them. Now with eyes open we can see how far we have fallen and if you go to a church, any denomination, that teaches lies, and you accept it then you are in a false religion and if you reject His knowledge, He has rejected you and your children.

What lies you may ask…. Here is a short list of doctrines of devils…

  1. the rapture
  2. hell is eternal BBQ pit for wicked
  3. satan is a fallen angel
  4. satan is Lucifer and is responsible for evil
  5. God loves everyone
  6. Salvation is for everyone
  7. free will
  8. when you die you are going to heaven
  9. asking Jesus into your heart
  10. 7 year tribulation period
  11. seedline theory
  12. the law is no longer in effect
  13. race-mixing is acceptable practice
  14. Jews are God’s chosen people

These are just a few..There are many many more. If you believe these then you need to study and ask for understanding. And do as He told His chosen to either…

Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

“Her” being false religions believing in false doctrines of demons. or instead remember this…

2Th 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The exclusiveness of Israel in the OLD TESTAMENT

The exclusiveness of Israel in the OLD TESTAMENT

By Arnold Kennedy

http://www.arnoldkennedy.com/Assets/the%20exclusiveness%20of%20israel%20in%20the%20ot.pdf
There are two very interesting facts found in both Testaments that are not commonly accepted.
Firstly there are the many statements that show that God redeems those who were already His
people prior to the redemptive act, for example, Psalm 111:9, He sent redemption unto his people or
Luke 1:68, for he hath visited and redeemed his people. The second interesting fact that will be
seen in these Scriptures is that what is commonly known as “The Law” as a covenant was given to
Israel as a race and it states that it was not given to any other race or people.
These two Biblical facts run counter to popular teachings today that have almost universal
acceptance. What is really being taught today is that all races are the same with respect to the
broken Law. We do not find this being witnessed in the Old Testament Law and the Prophets. In
the New Testament, we still find reference to the Twelve Tribes of Israel; they have in no way
disappeared. In this study, it is recommended that you forget what you currently know about the
words, Gentile, Jews, and The Church and have another look. We will start by quoting Scriptures
making comment upon them.
A BOOK BY BOOK LOOK AT THE EXCLUSIVENESS OF ISRAEL
The verses listed below are all addressed to Israel and not to anyone else! In reading them, please
take note of the emphasised words in each verse to see that this is so.
Exodus 6:7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be unto you a God: and ye
shall know that I am the Lord your God …
We start here with the separation of Israel from other peoples. God, who is addressing Israel, is
saying that He will be the God of this one people. Here it is Jehovah who is Israel’s creator.
Throughout the Bible we cannot find any specific verse which says the God of the Bible is other
than the God of Israel.
Exodus 19:5,6 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then
ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people, for all the earth is
mine. And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.
The words above all people immediately states that there is a different relationship established
between God and Israel that does not apply to other races. It was Jesus who later said that unless a
person was born from above he would not be able to see the Kingdom of Heaven, confirming they
must come from the same people. The very Greek prefix ano suggests “upwards” or “superior”.
Furthermore, the expressions Kingdom of Priests and an holy nation as a direct quotation is found
in 1 Peter 2:9 [a royal priesthood] showing the people are the same. No other race is spoken of in
this same unique way.
Lev 20:26. Ye shall be holy [separate] unto me, for I the Lord am holy, and have severed
you from other people, that ye should be mine.
Here we find a clarity which witnesses the racial separation of Israel from other races. The Hebrew
word badal’ means to separate, distinguish, select, divide and to sever utterly. The basic meaning
of the words holy and holiness in both Testaments conveys the idea of being separate or set apart.
God Himself is spoken of as The Holy One of Israel, but never as being the Holy One of any other
race. Thus, in both Testaments, a holy nation means a “separated” nation. The Holy Spirit is also
the Spirit of separation upon the holy nation. In Scripture we can find reference to The Holy People
[Daniel 8:24], referring to Israel. When God severed Israel from the other races, there is no indication that the separation was to be for any limited period. In fact, it is the opposite that is
shown.
Deut 4:7,8. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them … what
nation is there so great that hath statutes and judgements so righteous as all
this law, which I set before you this day.
This verse establishes that the Law was given to Israel alone. Moses, speaking to Israel alone,
declares in verse 13 that this involves the Ten Commandments. The Old Testament was made with
Israel alone, even if there were a mixed multitude present with them at that time. The issue here is
law and covenant relationship.
Deut 4:37 And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them …
The genetic relationship between fathers and seed cannot be avoided! This reference continues
through the New Testament!
Deut 7:6 For thou art an holy [separate] people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy
God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all the
people that are upon face of the earth.
This is not a popular teaching, but it is one of the early Bible statements about the unique, racially
exclusive, place of Israel among all the other races. If Israel was to disappear as a race from the
Bible, prophecy would forecast this. In the New Testament, Paul asks the question, Hath God cast
away His people? – No! – God forbid [Rom 11:1]. At that point in time, Israel was separated into
two Houses of whom “part” were blinded [v7], but Israel as a whole hath not obtained.
Deut 32:9 For the Lord’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of His inheritance.
There is not one Scripture anywhere which says any race other than Israel is genetically God’s
inheritance.
Deut 33:29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like thee, O people saved by the Lord …
People are taught or like to think that God is unbiased or unselective, but as a Sovereign God He
can do whatever pleases Him. Paul says, and so ALL ISRAEL shall be saved [Romans 11:26].
Numbers 23:9 … lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the
nations.
In the New Testament, the call is still to come out from among THEM and touch not the unclean. It
is God who made this sexual or physical separation for all time. Israel is not to interact with other
races in any such common purpose or become unequally yoked with other races, particularly with
their idols. This brings God’s judgement upon transgressors.
2 Sam 7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom
God went to redeem for a people to himself and to make him a name …
We must note the singular emphasis here which tells us the same story about Israel being the one
people Jesus came to redeem.
Psalm 78:5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a Law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers …
The triad, Jacob, Israel and fathers is a three fold bond that cannot be broken. Again we find here
the confirmation that the Law was given to Israel. In the New Testament, we find the same expressions, fathers, Jacob and Israel which show the New Testament is addressed to the same
people – those who had the Old Testament. That is, they are all Israelites by race.
Psalm 147:19,20 He showeth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgements
unto Israel. … as for his judgements, they [the other races] have not known
them.
This is a very clear statement that His Word is not given to other races! This is not a popular
concept or teaching but it is confirmed in both Testaments. But if God declares that He hath not
dealt so with any nation, we dare not question it! Israel is unique by God’s sovereign choice.
Psalm 148:14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints, even the
children of Israel, a people near to him.
This Scripture defines who and who only are saints. Saints appears in the New Testament without
any new definition. It is God who made this separation for all time. Also, we do not find other
races being “near” to God.
Isaiah 41:8-9 But thou, Israel art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of
Abraham my friend.
“The seed” – this word is very important, as it defines which part of Abraham’s seed is continually
referred to in both Testaments, as being God’s people racially. Not all the nations which spring
from Abraham are regarded as his seed. Only the nation ‘named’ or ‘called’ IN Isaac is to be so
regarded. Jacob and his descendants were accepted as this seed. To show this, Jacob was named
‘Israel’ – that is, he was given God’s name. Thus Jacob was the seed named in Isaac.
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed
thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy
name; thou art mine.
This verse includes the words, “created” and “formed” that are not the same. Jacob was created,
but Israel was formed
Formed yatsar To fashion, form or make.
Created bara In context, this is to create.
Redeemed gawal Bought back, ransomed, recovered or avenged.
These things are never said of any other race. If God chose every race there would be no election,
choosing or buying back. All mankind would be the same! These expressions continue through the
New Testament. Do they sound familiar? There is a difference between the expressions the sons of
Jacob and the children of Israel through Scripture, one being ‘created’ with the other being
‘formed’. Those ‘formed’ by fully believing God come from among those who are the natural
descendants. We find a similar difference between Genesis 1 and Genesis 2.
Isaiah 45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee
by thy name: I have surnamed thee …
Note: the elect is an important term also which defines God’s selection of a people [singular] which
is genetic [national Israel]. Elect or bachiyr means “chosen one” [singular]. Jesus and the New
Testament writers use the term in a way that does not change.

Isaiah 46:3 Hearken unto me, O House of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of
Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the
womb.
Note: This defines the racial origin of Israel as being from the womb of Sarah [see also
Isaiah 51:1,2, the hole of the pit]. This is expanded later in this book.
Isaiah 49:3 … thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
This shows Israel is God’s servant people. This again is a continuing expression which is used of
those fulfilling God’s purposes. “Servant” is sometimes applied to other races which God is using
to discipline Israel so that Israel might glorify God. God does not say that He will be glorified in
any other race but Israel. In the New Testament we will see that and they glorified the God of
Israel [Matthew 15:31].
Isaiah 53:8 … for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
My people here are either God’s people or Isaiah’s people (who are the same people). It is popular
to extend this limitation so that other races can be included. This is not valid; they are Israel only.
This much-loved chapter with its all we like sheep have gone astray speaks of Jesus being wounded
for our transgressions with mention of we and our. My people went down aforetime into Egypt to
sojourn there in Isaiah 52:4 gives expression and positive identity of the people being addressed
and this follows through to the following chapter. The “sheep” who had gone astray are the ones
whom the Good Shepherd came to seek and to save.
Isaiah 59:20,21 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from
transgression in Jacob saith the Lord. As for me, this is my covenant with
them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have
put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of
thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from
henceforth and for ever.
It is impossible to spiritualise seed or “seed’s seed”; they are genetic terms which are on-going.
There does not appear to be a single reference to any other nation than Israel to whom the
Redeemer would come. He is always The Redeemer of Israel and it is, as stated, to be forever.
Jesus came to visit and redeem His People [Luke 1:68]. Jesus is the Kinsman-Redeemer of Israel.
There is never any suggestion of any others than Israel being redeemed. From which broken Lawcovenant
would the other races need redeeming? Recall again how only Israel was given the
statutes and judgements and only Israel needed redemption from that Law which they had broken.
We see that the covenant is for all generations to seed’s seed of Jacob, and it is to those who turn
from transgression in JACOB whom the Redeemer saves. Here again we have the Spirit which is of
the anointed race. Israel has My Spirit which IS upon thee. This is not commonly taught today. We
will see that this is the same presentation as that in the New Testament, believe it or not. This
Scripture is not acceptable to tradition. Guess why? It is because racial Israel stays exclusive as
being Jacob’s seed.
Jer 50:4 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the Children of Israel shall
come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall
go, and seek the Lord their God.
A much talked about subject is the regathering of Israel which is supposed to be presently taking
place in Palestine, but and at that time is not the present activity in the Israeli state. What is being
established is just who is to be regathered. Is it a multi-racial church or is it only the House of Israel and the House of Judah [that is, the Twelve Tribes of Israel]? The latter is the consistent and
frequent Biblical presentation, as it is in the verse above [see also Ezekiel 37:15-28 in particular].
The picture painted is always of a still very exclusive Israel. The House of Israel and the House of
Judah are exclusive from the heathen races all around. This shows that at the end of the New
Testament age they are still exclusive. So they must be exclusive through the New Testament age,
even until the regathering. Note that there is no pattern of prophecy which presents a non-Israel
content in the regathering, so something must be wrong with the traditional teachings.
Jer 51:19 The portion of Jacob is not like them [that is, Babylon]; for he [that is, Israel]
is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of His inheritance: the Lord
of Hosts is his name.
This completely excludes “Babylon” from God’s inheritance. The timing of this event is at the end
of the New Testament age. Again, national Israel must go through the age. Israel is to be the rod
over the other races to rule with God. Israel means Ruling with God. Ruling over whom if all races
are the same?
Ezek 37:26-28 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them it shall be an
everlasting covenant with them … and the heathen shall know that I the Lord
do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for
evermore.
This shows that God’s covenant is with Israel alone, and that the other races will be aware of this
when God comes to dwell with His People Israel. The timing, again, is the end of the age at Jesus’
return and when God’s sanctuary is in the midst of Israel and nowhere else.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up … which standeth for the children of
thy [Daniel’s] people: …
At the end of the age it is still only thy people who are delivered. Israel is still in existence as a
people at the time of the end and through the New Testament age. Michael does not stand up for
other races.
Hosea 1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered
together, …
This and other quotations from the minor prophets are included to show the “unity of the
Scriptures” that always presents the exclusive nature of Israel. Hosea again defines who is
regathered, and also the timing. We will see that the children of Judah and the children of Israel
are not united until this time. There is no suggestion of there being any other race, or of a multiracial
“Church” comprising of “Jews and Gentiles”, as being part of the regathering of the remnant
of Israel in these minor prophets. It is always the two Houses who are regathered and come
together.
Hosea 14:1-5 O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God … I will be as the dew unto Israel: …
This is at the time of the regathering when Israel as a nation returns to The Lord Thy God. [v9, Who
is wise … he shall understand these things]. No other race is being asked to return to Israel’s God.
Joel 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel …
Joel 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of
Jehoshapet, and will plead with them there for my people and for my
heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my
land.
Again, there is no change prophetically about which nation God is in the midst of or which nation
He will be in the midst of at this future time.
Amos 3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: …
The word used for known cannot be treated fully here, but it does not mean to acknowledge. It is
used more as to recognise as a fact, revelation knowledge or to discern in an intimate and chosen
way. Here there is the complete isolation of Israel from the other races.
Note: This is important when we come to the New Testament where it refers to those who
were foreknown of God. This identifies the people as being the same nation in both
Testaments; those who were foreknown in the New Testament are those who were known in
the Old Testament.
Micah 2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant
of Israel: …
Are there still any lingering doubts that no other races are ever mentioned at this time of
regathering?
Habakkuk 3:13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy People, …
Zephaniah 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, …
There are a host of other Old Testament Scriptures that could have been quoted.
GOD PLACES HIS NAME ON THE ONE PEOPLE
Numerous references refer to “My name” as being placed upon the Children of Israel. For example:
Deut 28:10 And all the people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of
the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
Numbers 6:27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless
them.
Deut 26:19 And to make thee [that is, Israel] high above all nations which he hath made,
in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy
[separate] people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
The name of Jehovah [AV The Lord] is exclusive upon Israel as a race. All the people of the earth
then does not include the Children of Israel, in this case. The name placed upon the Children of
Israel who obey God is that of Jehovah Himself. God Himself decides just where He will place His
Name, whether it be on a people or a place [Deut 26:2: which the Lord THY God shall choose to
place His Name there].
This separation of Israel from all the other races is always distinct, but their blessing is conditional
upon their obedience. In the next chapter we can now look at the New Testament in the light of
what we have seen in the Old Testament.

Whatever is Satan

WHATEVER IS “SATAN”?

Arnold Kennedy
INTRODUCTION.
The Bible always makes it clear that we are all responsible for our actions; that we must reap what we sow, and that in the end we have to give account to God for those things “done in the body”.
2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
But the churches commonly present a conflicting message about this:
[a] That what we do “in the body” is what they call “works”, and is somehow irrelevant after being “justified by faith”.
[b] That what they call “Satan”-[an un-translated word meaning “adversary”]- is to be blamed for everything bad in this world.
This view is not valid! To show this we shall firstly consider the word “Satan”.
THE WORD “SATAN”.
From the “Dictionary of Bible Symbolism” by B.A. Hunter, we read about “satan”.,
Literally, “adversary;” “opponent.” The Hebrew word “satan’ is not a name, but merely a transliteration, meaning simply “an opponent or adversary”. In the O.T. it is transliterated as though it were a proper name (Satan) 19 times, with 14 of these occurrences in Job. Other O.T. passages correctly translate it as “adversary”, or “be an adversary”, “resist”, or “withstand”. In the N.T., the translators have rendered it as a proper name, in spite of the fact it is the same transliterated Hebrew word which in no way implies a supernatural being such as is conjured up in the modern mind.
The only time the Hebrew word ‘satan” is applied other than to mortal man is when it is twice applied to God Himself !! The first occurrence of this application is in Numbers 22:22, in which passage it has correctly been translated as “adversary”. Again, in I Chronicles 21:11 it is God Himself Who is referred to as ‘Satan,” as is illustrated by the parallel passage of 11 Samuel 24:1.
In the Greek Septuagint, the word is the New Testament equivalent of “devil”, and is also found in Esther 7:4, Psalm 108:6, as well as the other commonly known places where “satan” is found translated as such from the Masoretic Text. What follows comes from the latter text.
The important things to note are,
“The Hebrew word “satan’ is not a name, but merely a transliteration, meaning simply “an opponent or adversary”.
Strong 7854 confirms the Hebrew, “adversary (in general – personal or national)” and
Strong 4567 confirms the Greek, “adversary (one who opposes another in purpose or act).
♦ Thus anything in any way that is an adversary to God or to Man is “a satan”.
♦ The transliterated Hebrew word in no way implies a supernatural being such as is conjured up in the modern mind.
♦ The word “satan” can also be applied to God! [This is important to understanding of what the word “satan” actually means].
♦ In the O.T. it is transliterated as though it were a proper name, whereas it is not in fact.
For generations, the wrong transliteration of the word “satan” into the proper noun “Satan” by translators has created a non-Biblical doctrine. This suggests that there are two gods, one good God and one bad god who are fighting each other for supposedly “immortal souls”. This idea is what most churchgoers perceive because it is subtly presented to them this way.

This happens from Sunday School, e.g. the ditty “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine”……Don’t let Satan blow it out” etc. The “Satan” concept has been instilled in children from a very early age!
This basic idea behind all the world’s heathen religions has infiltrated the churches. Translations and traditions cause this to be virtually standard teaching, the origin of which we shall consider further on. Most churchgoers are brought up with this idea and it has become deeply ingrained into their subconscious minds.
WHERE DOES EVIL ACTUALLY COME FROM?
Now, having looked briefly at the word “Satan”. We can consider exactly where the evil actually comes from.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Genesis 8:21 For the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth.
Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Note that the New Testament and the Old Testament are in exact agreement about the “evil heart” and the consequences of what we do!
Jesus confirms the source of evil:
Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Now the questions these verses raise are:
1. If there is nothing worse than the human heart, and if all evil proceeds from the human heart, could there possibly be some being supposedly worse called “Satan”?
It is clear that the answer to the first question is that the evil comes out of the heart, there being no mention of a “Satan” as an personal identity or “satan” as an adversary.
2. Do we “say” things in our hearts, or do we blame “Satan” for thoughts and words that originate evil, as churches infer?
Let us consider together a few verses concerning the second question taking notice of the phrase “said in his heart”. In them there again is no mention of a “Satan” or “satan”.
Genesis 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Genesis 27:41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Psalm 10:6-13 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

Psalm 14:11 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Obadiah 3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
Luke 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken.
Now, there are hundreds of verses in the Bible referring to the human heart that do not bear any reference to “Satan”. [There are some 46 New Testament verses referring to “the devil” which we will come back to later]. So when religious persons blame “Satan” for evil in people, they are passing on religious tradition and are generating untruths. It is simply passing blame for the actions of their unregenerate and wicked hearts onto another supposed entity.
This is the vogue today, even in our law courts, where blame is passed on to someone or to something else. This is denying responsibility and accountability. It is the false, “the devil made me do it”, trip we often hear about. It is somewhat like people who are dying through having smoked tobacco for years, blaming the tobacco growers or tobacco manufacturers for their condition, as we find them now doing.
Yes, it is always our just God who is sovereign, not “Satan”.
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Prov. 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Why?
Prov. 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Honesty demands that we should admit our part in yielding to temptation.
James 1:13-16 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Let us no longer err about this in blaming “Satan”, as the churches do!
NONE OTHER GODS.
The churches effectively have two gods before them, despite what the Bible presents:
Deuteronomy 5:7 Thou shalt have NONE OTHER gods before me.
God emphatically denies the two-god concept. Please note the capitalized words in the next verses.
Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name ALONE is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Isaiah 37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou ALONE, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.
Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth BY MYSELF.

! Cor. 8:4-6 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that THERE IS NONE OTHER GOD BUT ONE. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but ONE GOD, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Ephesians 4:6 ONE GOD and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is ONE GOD; thou doest well:
So if we have any concept at all in our minds about there being two Gods [or more] we are not doing well!
Quoting Charles Spurgeon, “There are certain doctrines called Calvanistic, which I think commend themselves to the minds of all thoughtful persons for this reason mainly – they ascribe to God everything”.
THE WORD “ADVERSARY”.
As soon as we put the right meaning as “adversary” onto the word “satan”, that is “adversary (in general – personal or national)” and, “adversary (one who opposes another in purpose or act) – Strongs 7854 and 4567”) we can start to get a glimmer of light on this subject. Remember that Jesus called Peter “satan” when Peter was being an adversary to Him. Yet Peter could not have been the literal “Satan” pictured by the churches.
The following passages exemplify the alternatively rendered word to illustrate the fact that the meaning of the word “satan” has been distorted. We should read “adversary” where “satan” is written.
Num. 22:22 And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary (i.e. a satan) against him….
1 Sam. 29:4 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary -
(i.e. a satan) to us….
Note: Because “adversary” is the same word as that translated as “Satan” elsewhere, in this verse, David is called a “satan” to the Philistines.
2 Sam 24:1 And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
Note: This passage specifies that it was God who moved David. It is parallel to the following passage in Chronicles which states God was an “satan” [opponent].
I Chron. 21:1 And Satan (i.e. God as an adversary of Israel) stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
Ps. 38.20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries (satans); because I follow the thing that good is.
Ps. 71:13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries (satans) to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
The word “adversaries” is “satan” in the Hebrew in these two verses, as in many others.
Psalm 109:4-6 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan [an adversary] stand at his right hand.
The word translated as “adversaries” [7853] in this verse is a different form of the same root word translated “Satan” [7854] at the end of the verse. Note how the translators wrongly put in a capital “S” as they have in so many places to try to make Scripture fit their beliefs.
Next we shall see that the New Testament confirms the Old Testament.
Matt 16:22-23 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Note: The word “offence” means “the trigger of a trap”. The things that are “of men” are the adversary nature and what comes from the evil heart of fallen Man.
Mark 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan [i.e. adversary]; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
2 Thess 2:8-9 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan [i.e. adversary] with all power and signs and lying wonders.
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan [i.e. of adversaries].
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan [i.e. of adversaries], which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Again, these verses have a capitalised “S” wrongly inserted by the translators.
ORIGINS.
Scripture does not anywhere present a supernatural being known as Satan which is often conjured up as a being having horns, cloven hoofs and a tail, among other things. Although there is reference to a great red dragon having a tail in Rev. 12:4, this is the concept of Judaism we see in, “He hath Beelzebub, and, by the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons—[Mark 3:19]. This is where the idea comes from that “Satan” is the ruler of the devils. Most churches are Judeo-Christian and this is their popular belief. “Judeo-Christian” does not mean “Christian” or “Biblical”. The word “Judeo” refers to the belief structure Judah adopted when in captivity in Babylon. This was the popular belief in Judea in Bible times. Jesus always condemned these traditional beliefs. But the churches accept them.
The Gnostic, Cabalistic (Jewish), Saducee and Christian Scientist idea is that evil is non-existent -[Acts 23:8]. The Jewish Encyclopaedia says, “As the Divine has true being, evil is that which had no being”. The consequence of this belief can be seen in the immorality advocated in the Jewish Talmud. What these all deny is what the Bible says about the nature of the human heart as the source of evil.
It is popular to say that God created the world out of nothing but we are not told that is so. God simply created. This act transcends the ability of the human mind to comprehend. What we can understand is that part God tells us about, namely that God made laws to which there would be good consequences for keeping them and “evil” consequences for not keeping them. He gave His people a choice and let them choose the consequences. But God did not leave His people ‘lost’ under His judgement. He provided redemption for those who believed what He said.

We are told, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being”-[Acts 17:27]. This means that the only kind of interaction God can have with the creation is that of personal relationship and personal action. There is no room for impersonal mysticism. God is totally personal, and the only relationship He has with men is personal. God communicates with men by means of language (word) and actions (deeds).
Now, in regard to the eternal Law of God, this could be something that could either be rightly related to Him, or wrongly related. We see this in common life. We can rightly relate to our friends, or we can make enemies of them by wrongly relating to them. We can rightly relate to the creation by shepherding it properly, or we can relate to it wrongly by polluting and destroying it. We can rightly relate to God by believing and agreeing with God in our actions, or we can wrongly relate with God by being adversaries to God. Thus the Christian worldview is exhaustingly relational in character. We call this relationship by the Biblical word “covenant” or “covenant relationship”.
What does this mean for the so-called “problem of evil”? Evil is not a substance but rather a wrong relationship with God. “Evil” and “satan”, in the moral sense, are just other words connected with sin which is Law transgression. Sin makes a person an adversary to God. But “Satan” is a word preferred by pagans and religionists since it seems to connote personality and thus moves responsibility away from human accountability. The word “satan” is conveniently used to disguise the corruption of the human heart. The question is often asked, “How could a good God permit evil to exist?” The answer is, “Evil does not exist as a singular identity”. Evil is the consequence of wrong choices and bad deeds. The consequence is always condemnation.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
From this we see again exactly what the source of evil is.
Again it is not “Satan”!
In fact, the possibility of “evil” or sin is implicit in the very act of creation itself. God set the rules and gave man free choice, God established the possibility that man as captain of creation might choose to become wrongly related to Him; man might choose to break the covenant and rebel against the Covenant. In the Covenant sense this applies only to Israel, although the laws of God apply to every person on earth-[e.g. the laws of science].
The Israel Man was not confronted with a choice between God and “Satan” as two separate entities. Rather, he was confronted with a choice whether to relate to God rightly (faithful obedience) or wrongly (faithless rebellion). We know which choice Israel made, and the consequence.
When we read in Isaiah 54:16 of God saying “I have created the waster to destroy”; this sounds as if “the waster” is a personality, but the “waster” is what God caused to take effect as a pledge or consequence for making a wrong choice. The word “created” is bara’ as in Genesis One.
REDEMPTION
The purpose of redemption was not to rescue man from an evil external influence. Nor was it to defeat “evil.” Rather, the purpose of redemption is to restore man to a right relationship with God, to remove Israel from God’s covenant wrath and restore him to God’s covenant blessings. “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” [i.e. adversary works and God’s wrath-1 John 3:8].
When Christian Israelites do not keep this matter firmly in mind, they fall into one of two errors. The first is to view man’s problem as “Satan,” and God’s work as rescuing man from
“Satan.” The second is a more subtle error. It is to view “evil” as “non-being” and an illusion, and to say that redemption comes when people realise that “evil” does not exist. This is the viewpoint of Judaism, Eastern Mysticism and of Christian Science. While it is true that “evil” does not exist as a “being”, the “problem of evil”, or what that “problem” is, is still very real. Man exists, and so does God. When Man is estranged from God, Man must come to grips with his rebellion and seek salvation in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. There is no salvation in ignoring the issue! The Bible presents “salvation” as being a present deliverance in this life, not “heaven” at our death as churches teach. Yes, we are told that God creates [brings about] evil as a consequence of disobedience. Again, God does it, not “Satan“.
What we describe as being “evil” is the manifestation of estrangement from God. Anything in this estrangement position is an adversary to God. This adversary position is what the Bible terms “satan”. This illustrates the Biblical use of the word “satan”. We are told in the blessings and curses under the law in Deut.28, that obedience and disobedience would each have a different eternal consequence.
Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
OCCULT MANIFESTATIONS.
People who are deliberate adversaries to God manifest mental states which cause them to have a whole range of occult manifestations. These mental states lead on to what the Bible terms “enchanters”, “charmers”, and involves “witches”, “wizards” and “necromancers” [familiar spirits-Deut.8:11], and “astrologers”; things which God terms “abominations”. God says, “I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways”.
Romans 1:24-25 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Note that God “gives to every man” and “gave them up”, not “Satan”.
The occult is a reality. When we begin to take a close look at the occult, it becomes necessary to define terms. There is a great difference between cults and the occult. The term cult refers to a group of people polarised around one individual who is often a magnetic personality. This individual has his or her own understanding of truth, who God is, man’s relationship to God, the existence of heaven and hell, as well as a number of other issues of faith. In most cases such individuals incorporate some degree of biblical truth into their teachings in order to gain a certain amount of credibility in order to deceive the unwary.
From dictionary definitions, the term occult means “hidden” or those things or teachings that are “unknown” “covered over” or “secret“. So, the occult is the seeking after knowledge of unknown information, knowledge that is gained beyond normal human experiences. Therefore, knowledge is said to be received by some supernatural involvement or connection. This they call “Satan” with a capitalised “S”. Satanists admit or insist that their god is “satan”, that is, they have become total adversaries to God.
Satanism challenges the biblical teaching regarding man’s relationship to others. Each of God’s people are to esteem others better than themselves, and are to be team players. In 1 Corinthians we read about God’s people being a part of the body of Christ, whereas Satanism esteems the “self” over others.
Young Satanists believe that the strong will rule with what they see as “Satan”. Once they are sufficiently involved, they often make a pact with the supposed Satan. They commit themselves to a future date when they will take their own lives by suicide. They believe that if
they submit themselves to Satan in death, they will come back in another life as a stronger being and rule with him forever. This reincarnation idea is the nature of deception from hearts that are “deceitful above all things”.
Power has become an obsession with young Satanists. It is sought after on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels. According to one former occultist, the greatest lure into the occult is “power” and “knowledge.” Not just corporate power but personal power. Gaining knowledge that others do not possess is another aspect of the occult. When individuals have more knowledge it affords them a degree of power over those who do not have access to that knowledge. Satanism leads one into bondage through mind control and fear, whereas Christianity allows the individual the freedom of choice to escape that bondage through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
THE CASTING OUT OF “DEVILS”.
In dealing with the subject of “Satan” we have words which appear to be associated with that word, such as “unclean spirits” and “devils”. These have to be touched upon, but these are not the prime subject of this paper, and so will not be enlarged upon.
We witness in the Gospels the parade of ailments Jesus cast out of people. These ailments were curses. People were healed when their curse was removed. This does not mean that these ailments have a leader called “satan” in the way popular religion is wont to say. What it means is that there is a parade of consequences of wrong belief, although this is not necessarily found in those personally healed. We know that the sin of Achan affected a whole nation-[Joshua 7] – although this sin may have reference only to the “Babylonian garment” and what that actually was.
Literal translations of “devil” are “spoiler”, “hairy”, “false accuser”, or “slanderer”. The phrase “the devil” is not found in the Old Testament. We see the plural word ‘devils’, twice meaning “spoiler” or “destroyer”, and twice again meaning “hairy” or “shaggy”. Otherwise it is translated as “goat”, “kid” or “hairy” 54 times.
In the New Testament “the devil” is also translated “accuser”, “false accuser” and “slanderer”. “The slanderer” is the word used which tells us that Jesus was, “tempted of the devil”, and as “satan which deceiveth the whole world”. The other 78 renditions of “devil” or “devils” are from a word which means, “to distribute fortunes”, or “one who disburses or dispenses riches”. The Greek daimonion [Strong 1140] is a derivative of diamon [Strong 1142] is used in James 3:15 as “devilish” which clearly shows that it is an earthly heart-desire for mammon, or wealth, which is “devilish”. Scripture does not teach the popular “Satan” doctrine”. Nowhere in Scripture is there basis to regard “Satan” as a supernatural being.
“UNCLEAN” SPIRITS
Just as spirit means ‘breath,” so does “unclean spirit” signify “foul breath”, which are words in opposition to those of God. The casting out of “unclean spirits” is symbolic of the removal of belief in false doctrines which opinions ‘tear’ or torment the person who clings to them. It is false doctrine that drives men mad, as opposed to the peace which acting upon God’s Word brings. This “madness” can be sensed; it “entered into” swine and drove them into the sea.
The fact that Legion and others were “possessed’ (owned) by the deceitful principles of antichrist beliefs indicates the power of counterfeit words to bring us into submission to men who are “adversaries” in high places rather than to God. These “unclean spirits” include men in high authority in the earth, and our war is against them. That which defiles is that which comes out of the mouth of man, not of “satan”. As Jesus confirms:
Mark 7:20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Only by hearing (understanding) His Word can we be rid of these erroneous beliefs which we have been taught, and of the effect these have on us. Only then can we have what the Bible calls a “sound mind” or “the mind of Christ”.
In the symbolism of the unclean spirits’ speech, we see that these false doctrines debate with God Himself as to the truth of His Word, just as today those who are in error resist His Truth. We can see this in the following verses.
Zechariah 13:2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Mark 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.
Luke 9:42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Obviously here we have good examples of symbols in vision form, having not happened physically. There were no literal frogs or dragons, were there?
Clothing a symbol with a personality is where the churches and tradition manufacture a person they regard as an identity they call “Satan”.
This is what they have done with the word “Lucifer”. Again, like the word “Satan”, it is not a proper name. The word simply has not been translated in the KJV. Many other translations use words like “day star”, “shining one”, “star of the morning”, etc. Isaiah 14 is symbolic of the restoration of Israel and the fall of Babylon, the adversary city which had risen as if it were a “day star”.
When Jesus said in Luke 10:18, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven” He was talking about adversary deception falling before the disciples. “Fall” = pipto = “to descend from an erect to a prostrate position”. What appeared to be the light of a lamp (astrape = lightening) could not stand before the disciples and had to bow down.
“EVIL” SPIRITS.
Through the Old Testament, as mentioned, there is no mention of “devils”, but there is of evil spirits. Note well: These are sent by God, not “Satan”. It is about an attitude.
Judges 9:23 Then GOD SENT an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:
1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit FROM THE LORD troubled him.
1 Samuel 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit FROM GOD came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.
1Samuel 19:9 And the evil spirit FROM THE LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I THE LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
WITCHCRAFT.
The multiple forms of witchcraft are declared by the Bible as being contrary to God’s Word and will, and they are specifically defined as rebellion against God.
Deut. 18:10-12 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
1 Sam 15:22-23 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Nahum 3:4-5 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
Believing in lying wonders is against the Kingdom of God since acting upon these influences defiles people and the Kingdom. The word “witch” comes from the concept, “to twist”, “to turn”, and “to rebel” having a differing set laws which are man-made.
NB. Even religious persons in “Christian” churches who claim the Ten Commandments, the Statutes and Judgements of the Law of God’s Kingdom no longer apply to the redeemed, likewise are in the witch category because they keep these things covered up and thus are in darkness.
Quoting Spurgeon again, “The heart is like a dark cellar, full of lizards, cockroaches, beetles, and all kinds of reptiles, which in the dark we do not see. But the Law takes down the shutters and lets in the light, and we see the evil”.
SORCERERS.
The sorcerer, like the magician, deceives people by trickery, convincing them that the illusion produced is reality. By diverting the attention of God’s people, he succeeds in luring them from God’s Word to turn them from the faith.
Isaiah 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy SORCERIES, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
Acts 13:6-8 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain SORCERER, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. But Elymas the SORCERER (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Another means of creating illusions is by the use of drugs.
Although music, instruments and clapping are Scriptural, their use in worship is the spontaneous product of what arises from a clean heart. When these things are used in order to arouse emotions in people without cleansed hearts, particularly in mass meetings, people who claim to “feel the presence” in such meetings may be feeling the product of sorcery.
Churches can thus be involved in sorcery to create a false sense of security or acceptance by God, that has little to do with repentance or keeping what the New Testament calls “The Commandments of God”.
RACIAL ADVERSARIES [SATANS].
We can read that people can be perverted sufficiently for them to form a habit of doing evil. This is the purpose and habit of the Jews. In Matt. 3:7, 12:34, 23.33 and in Luke 3:7, Jesus and John the Baptist say that the Jews are “a generation [a descendency] of vipers”. Devilry is always manifested in these descendants of Esau, known as the serpent race. So opposition to God is manifest in the Jews who are of this line.
Through racial intermarriage, the descendants of Esau [Edom] became mixed with those who descended from Cain. Hence Jesus could say “The Jews” descended from Cain, and that the Jews’ originating father was symbolised as “the devil”. Their fleshly nature which is their lawgiver is always an adversary or a “satan”. Evil can be incarnated in races being “planted by the devil”, that is, they are born to be adversaries. This symbolises their origin. As Paul says, who are we to argue why the Potter makes different peoples. God does make differing vessels for differing purposes -[Rom. 9:21] – even if the ‘Church of Everyone’ denies this.
The word “devil(s)” has also been translated as “hairy”, “goat”, “spoiler”, and “slanderer”, the first two connecting with what Esau is, and the second two with what Esau does. Remembering that Esau’s descendants [Edom] is symbolised by a goat, note that the Jewish Encyclopaedia says, “The modern Jew is Edom”, that is, their leadership descends from Esau and not from Isaac. Through Scripture we are told, “In Isaac shall thy seed be called”-[Gen. 21:12, Romans 9:7 and Hebrews 11.18]. These Jews therefore cannot be Israelites. God hated Esau before Esau was born, and He does so for all generations-[Malachi 1]. Now we can see how “hairy” fits in. Remember how Esau was born hairy? A conclusion might be reached that the Edomite Jews are devils!
We have spoken about, “Beelzebub, the prince of the demons” as being an idea of Judaism, but we have to consider the fact that Judaism has a Prince, or King of the Jews who reigns over “The Learned Elders of Zion”, with various ranking Cahilla [secondary leaders] members below them. Does this in effect make their Prince equivalent to a “Prince of Devils”?
Did not Jesus say of the Jews, “You are of your father the devil”? Yet most churches will not accept this statement, and instead claim the phrase “The Jews”, who came from Esau rather than Isaac, represents Israel. Such churches are adversaries or “satans”.
THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS.
Matthew 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
In these verses we see the intimate connection between the words “Satan” and the “devil”. One has to wonder why the translators put a capital “S” in “Satan” with no capital “d” in “devil”. In the account of the “Gadarene demonic” in Mark chapter five, there are some peculiar differences in the use of the singular and the plural regarding “unclean spirit(s)” and “devil(s)”. There must be some difference the translators could not reconcile with their doctrinal understanding.
Where we read, “the devil ‘AND’ Satan” it is not the devil ‘OR’ Satan”, is it? If we think this through we can see the doctrinal nature of the translators’ conflict. In this paper we are concerned primarily with the word “Satan”. “Devils” and “unclean spirits” can be dealt with in another paper, since they are different subjects.
Perhaps it was the Edomite Jews [devils] in the wilderness who tempted Jesus to become an adversary, but Jesus was able to say, “get thee hence satan”. But yes, Jesus was tempted by the same temptation we have, namely to disbelieve the Word of God, yet He never yielded to it, or against it as many churches do.
And speaking of Jesus we read again about Him being tempted:
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
The lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life are part of the kosmos or world of what is symbolised by “the devil”. The fact of temptation is a reality, but we are to walk “as He walked”.
1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:3-6 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Tough and real words these are, but they are not popular church doctrine that infers that Jesus did all the “walking” (and dying) on our behalf. As for “if we keep His commandments”, the churches reject this. They have invented the phrase “legalism” to try to get around this. True, law without love is “the letter” which kills, but did not Jesus say, “If ye love me, keep my commandments”? Jesus proved His son-ship by doing what He saw His Father doing. Keeping “My commandments” is the consequence of love to God. Paul said obedience was the proof, and:
Rom. 5:10 Much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life [zoe].
NOTE: Redemption is certainly not through the Law. The Law reveals the corruption of the fallen human heart and the need to repent from having broken God’s Laws. Then, as we walk in the light the Blood of Jesus Christ cleans us from all sin – and only then!
People become adversaries [“satans”] when they do not walk in son-ship. In symbolic form, when they yield to the fleshly evil heart, ‘devils’ “enter in” to people, i.e. there is a tangible effect. Many verses in the New Testament show that these “devils” [daimonion] relate to sickness, want of strength, weakness, inability to understand. Strongs 1142 points out that

“In the opinion of the Jews demons had entered, and so held possession of them as not only to afflict them with ills, but also to dethrone the reason and take its place themselves; accordingly the possessed were wont to express the mind and consciousness of the demons dwelling in them; and their cure was thought to require the expulsion of the demon”.
So we can see where from, and how, the Judeo-Christian churches have obtained their Babylonian ideas.
We read, “Then entered satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve”. But Judas already thought as an adversary, he came from that stock.
John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Here the word for “devil” is diabolos for which Strong gives, “prone to slander, slanderous, accusing falsely, a calumniator, false accuser, slanderer, or applied to a man opposing the cause of God”
When Jesus was dealing with the man possessed with the devil in Mark 5:15, we read of the consequence:
Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
The consequence was a sound mind in that person!
OUR TEMPTATION.
2 John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
In this verse the word “confess” is homologeo which comes from homo = “the same” and logos = “the Word”. Few churches will use “confess” this way. Our temptation is to not agree with God. We are tempted to think that God is not sovereign; that there is another authority called “satan”. In other words, believing in the existence of “Satan” is a denial of God’s absolute sovereignty. We must totally erase every concept of a figure with horns, cloven hoofs, a tail and a pitch-fork, or anything else at all, as interpreted by traditional religion. This concept is the Judeo-Talmudic version about “Beelzebub, the prince of the demons”, and this includes the Eastern Serpent system or religion and every equivalent.
THE SERPENT OF GENESIS 3.
This account is literal history emphasised by the use of figures of speech. As an example, when the Tribe of Dan is called a serpent in Genesis 49:17, we are not to believe that this Tribe had all been reduced to snakes. King Herod is referred to by Jesus as a fox and so on. When doctrine is called “leaven” we know that something greater is implied. The same applies to the “King of Tyre” in Ezekiel 28,11-19.
So when we take something figurative and make it something literal we are making a mistake.
Today we have a saying about “a bright idea” and Nachash or “Serpent” means “bright” or “shining”. When we “say” wrong things in our hearts that may likewise seem like “bright” ideas to us, may be an adversaries or “satans” to God.
OTHER ISSUES.
Some may want to raise the following issues:
There are expressions in Scripture we have to consider, such as “Lucifer”, “the Devil”, “the Anti-Christ”, “Abaddon”, “Apollyon”, “The Dragon” and “That Old Serpent”, which appear from tradition to be personalities, or parts of the one personality.
1. Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
2. Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon [drakon], that old serpent [ophis], which is the Devil, [diabolos] and Satan [satanas], and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
When we remember that the Book of the Revelation is a book of symbols, it is easier to follow. “Abaddon” and “Apollyon” are words indicating destruction.
-to cause to stray, to lead astray, lead aside from the right way.
-to go astray, wander, roam about.
-to lead away from the truth, to lead into error, to deceive.
-to be led into error and sin.
-to be led aside from the path of virtue, to go astray,
-to sever or fall away from the truth.
All of these words, “drakon”, “ophis”, “diabolos” and “satanas” which are described as “him”, are aspects of the same thing. Jesus and the Apostles used words that were used and could be understood by the culture and common usage of the day. They understood the peoples’ mindsets.
“Power” appears to be expressed as a reality as we can see in the expressions:
“The power of darkness” -Luke 22:53. -Col. 1:13.
“The Prince of the power of the air” -Eph. 2:2.
“Him that hath the power of death, that is, the devil” -Heb 2:14.
When we look at this carefully, we see that out of the hearts of those who are adversaries to God’s laws proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, as Jesus tells us. These empower rulers, governments and the establishment to have sway over people. It is called “darkness” because mans’ laws are not a light – not even a candle.
The following are similar symbols:
“The Prince of this world” -John 12:31. -John 14:30. -John and 16:11.
“The accuser of the brethren” -Rev. 13:12.
“The beast and his kingdom” -Rev 16:10.
This connects with:
Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The churches say we could not wrestle against something that is non-existent. They create in their minds a being they call “Satan” to fight against. But in reality what we are fighting are ideas and all those evils that proceed from the heart of man expressed through leaders. “Spiritual” = pneumatikos [Strong 4152] relates to the human spirit, or rational soul, and “wickedness” relates to evil purposes and desires. High as in “high places” is used often in the Old Testament to indicate an elevated position. It symbolises the seat of authority or governments. Churches refuse to fight this good fight of faith against “high places”. Instead they support and encourage support for governments in these high places.
FEW WILL AGREE WITH GOD TODAY.
King David had adversaries. Look at the wealth of detail in the verses below concerning the genetic line from Esau.
Psalm. 109.6-13 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan [i.e. an adversary] stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
No denomination would pray like this today. Why not? Because it does not fit in with their “love everyone” doctrine. Instead they try to convert to their doctrine those whom Jesus says cannot hear compassing land and sea, and what they produce are two-fold more children of hell as themselves! -[Matt. 23:15].
Where they make a mistake is talking about “confessing Christ” and “going forward” in an occult way as if this was ritualistic. As already pointed out, the word “confess” is homologeo which comes from homo = “the same” and logos = “the Word”. It is when we cease to speak anything different from what God says, we cease to be adversaries. If most denominations do not speak the same word as God, they must be adversaries or “satans”.
Nothing is likely to change in the churches if they persist in using Bibles which are not translations. The NIV is not a translation. It is claimed to be a “dynamic equivalent”, and this is written in such a way as to perpetuate dualism, or the supposed tug-of-war between God and “satan”, as well as other traditions that are written into it. The latest popular presentation [deception] advertised is the video “The Visual Bible” which is claimed to be “Word-for-word from the NIV”; that it is “The word – the whole Word – and nothing but the Word”. Really? Never!
Modern versions and paraphrases are couched in such a way as to follow New Age thinking and traditional Babylonian doctrines. Even in the KJV, not only has the capital “S” in “Satan” been maintained, but those Bibles with footnotes follow these patterns. Recourse to Bible Dictionaries and such will not help our understanding when the given meanings are based upon usage and tradition. Such may perpetuate error. Following church traditions still renders the Word of God of no effect.
Essentially in practice the churches deny what Jesus points out in Matthew 15:19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies”, although the churches may not recognise what they are doing and the implications of doing it.
In blaming “Satan” with a capital “S” they seek to justify themselves before men.
Luke 16:15 Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Here again Jesus brings the matter back to the “heart”. This is the heart of the matter!

Two Witnesses of Revelation

Posted by Lynn on July 29, 2008

Duo martus (Two Witnesses) Identified

According to the revelation given to Apostle John, Yahweh will have two witnesses that He will give power to prophecy in the end times. The Greek words used for ‘two witnesses’ are ‘duo martus’. Many in the Christianity movement claim to know whom these two will be. Some say Elijah and Enoch since they were “taken” by Yahweh.

24And Enoch walked with Elohim and he [was] not; for Elohim took him. Genesis 5:24

11And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, [there appeared] a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2 Kings 2:11

5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because Elohim had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased Elohim. Hebrews 11:5

Some today in Christianity think it could be Moses. It appears that many of today’s Christians have never taken the time to truly study the Old Testament. I myself at one time called myself a Christian and believed by my own knowledge these two witnesses to be Elijah and Enoch, until that is, I studied and allowed Yahweh to open my blind eyes. Until Yahweh opened my eyes, I couldn’t make any sense at all of the Old Testament. Many answers to New Testament questions, however, are found in the Old Testament. When the Apostles preached and spread the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah, they had full knowledge of what the law and prophets had said in what we call the Old Testament, the first five books being the Torah. If we take the time to examine and study, we can unlock all the answers that Yahweh has for us to know.

So can we identify the duo martus?

ABSOLUTELY!!

1And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of Yahweh, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months.

3And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before Yahweh Elohim of the earth. Revelations 11:1-4

16I Yeshua have sent mine angel (John) to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. Revelations 22:16

In verse 2 John is told to not measure the outer courts or that outside the temple. This was to be given to the Gentiles or nations, as it should read. Who will be their messenger? Lets look at the next verse and see what it says and we will find in verse 3 it states, AND I will give unto my two witnesses and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days clothed in sackcloth. So we see that the nations will have these two witnesses, duo martus, witnessing the word and truth of Yahweh and testimony of Yeshua as being the Messiah. Also by wearing sackcloth we know by scripture that these witnesses will be in official mourning.

12And in that day did Yahweh Elohim of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth: Isaiah 22:12

So who are these two? Does the bible tell us?

ABSOLUTELY!

Lets look at verse 4 now. It read that these are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the Elohim of the earth. Olive trees and candlesticks? Looks like we need to travel back to the Old Testament for some answers.

1 But now thus saith Yahweh that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Isaiah 43:1

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith Yahweh, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no Elohim formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange Elohim among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Yahweh, that I am Elohim. Isaiah 43:10-12

1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:

2 Thus saith Yahweh that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

5 One shall say, I am Yahweh’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto Yahweh, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

6 Thus saith Yahweh the King of Israel, and his redeemer Yahweh of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no Elohim.

7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a Elohim beside me? yea, there is no Elohim; I know not any. Isaiah 44:1-8

With that said it is time for a short history lesson. Most Christians do not even realize that Israel split into two kingdoms after the death of King Solomon. Many know of or have heard of the ten lost tribes of Israel but few have really looked into what happened to them. You can read more on the split in

1 Kings 12 and 2 Chronicles 10. Ultimately we have a Southern Kingdom and a Northern Kingdom. The Southern Kingdom becomes the House of Judah containing the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and eventually Levi (the priesthood bloodline).

21 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
1 Kings 12:21

12 And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.
2 Chron 11:12

The Northern Kingdom became the House of Israel also referred to as Ephraim. It consisted of the 10 tribes that are believed to be lost today. They are Ephraim, Manasseh, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun and Dan.

Now you may ask, where is Joseph? The answer is quite easy. Ephraim and Manasseh are Joseph’s sons. Joseph’s youngest son Ephraim led the Northern Kingdom. Joseph’s tribe is represented with Ephraim. Like Jacob (Israel) in the story of Jacob and Esau, Ephraim received from his grandfather Jacob (Israel) the double portion blessing of the first-born son even though Manasseh was the first-born son to Joseph.

14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, Elohim, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the Elohim which fed me all my life long unto this day,

16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.

18 And Joseph said unto his father, not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.

19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, Elohim make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but Elohim shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.

22 Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow. Genesis 48:14-22

Joseph and Ephraim are in the same tribe – a double portion.

So we can see by scriptures that Israel split and became two kingdoms.

In Isaiah 43 & 44 previous mentioned it calls Jacob/Israel Yahweh’s witnesses.

16 Yahweh called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. 17For Yahweh of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal. Jeremiah 11:16-17

1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Yahweh unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith Yahweh of hosts.

7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

8 Moreover the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying,

9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Yahweh of hosts hath sent me unto you.

10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of Yahweh, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by Yahweh of the whole earth. Zech 4:1-14

The two olive trees are “the anointed ones” – who stand beside Yahweh of the whole earth.

With that in mind, we can reread Revelations 11:4

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the Elohim of the earth.

Wow! Scripture comes to life! Here we see that the olive trees are symbolic of the house of Judah & Israel.

After the split, Yahweh allowed the two kingdoms to become captured and then scattered the northern tribes into other nations and allowed them to forget their identities as well as Yahweh and His name. They had no idea who they were and today many still haven’t a clue who they are or who they call their Elohim. They may have forgotten and lost their identities and Yahweh’s as well but stand assured that Yahweh never lost anyone.

44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am Yahweh their Elohim.

45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their Elohim: I am Yahweh. Leviticus 26:44-45

9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

10 Who hath formed a Elohim, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.

12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.

13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a Elohim, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

17 And the residue thereof he maketh a Elohim, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my Elohim.

18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. Isaiah 44:1-21

17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. Ezekiel 36:17-19

1 At the same time, saith Yahweh, will I be the Elohim of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

2 Thus saith Yahweh, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

3 Yahweh hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.

6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto Yahweh our Elohim.

7 For thus saith Yahweh; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. Jeremiah 31:1-7

8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure. Hosea 8:8

Now for a quick look into the New Testament for the olive trees.

16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

21 For if Elohim spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Romans 11:16-21

Paul is talking about an olive tree being grafted with a wild olive tree’s branches. The olive tree is the House of Judah and the branch of the wild tree is the House of Israel. The natural branches on the olive tree were cut off due to their unbelief. The tree branches were replaced with wild branches (Gentiles aka House of Israel). They lost their identity and never remembered living knowing Yahweh.

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Romans 11:25

Not only was Israel blind to the truth but Judah also. That is until the fullness of the Gentiles or nations of Israel (tribes) has come.

19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. Genesis 48:19

Ephraim and his seed shall become the fullness of the nations.

22 What if Elohim, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living Elohim. Romans 9:22-26

The lost tribes that were put away for their sins will be brought back and called by Yahweh.

1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

5 But with many of them Elohim was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 1 Corinthians 12:2

Paul identifies himself and those in Corinth as being the descendants of the Israelites brought out of Egypt.

6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of Elohim, unto our fathers: Acts 26:6

Paul makes known that he knew the background nationality of the gentiles he was sent to preach to concerning the gospel.

1 James, a servant of Elohim and of Yahweh Yeshua the Messiah, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. James 1:1

James fully knew the believers identity when he added them to his letter.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:16

Yeshua himself tells his disciples he has others not in that group. He was speaking of the lost tribes, the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 15:24

44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

John 6:65

Those given to Yeshua by Yahweh are the physical Israelites from both the house of Judah and the House of Israel – Ephraim. They are the two olive trees, duo martus, of Revelations 11.

We now can look for the candlesticks in Revelations 11:4.

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim in their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. Revelations 7:1-8

These are the ones that have the seal (name) of Yahweh and the testimony of Yeshua as the Messiah. These 144,000 (a completed number) from the 12 tribes of the ONE House of Israel make up the two witnesses.

The duo martus identified.

All this and more can be found and learned by simply applying the following as we are instructed to do.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto Elohim, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Identity matters. By studying we can find our identities and better understand Yahweh’s word and our part in fulfilling His will.

All scripture was taken from the King James Version unless noted.

The sacred names of Elohim and the Messiah have been changed to their actual Hebrew names because that is the preference of the author of this article.

Come Out of Her My People

Posted by Lynn on July 29, 2008

Come out of her my people

That you do not engage in her sins

Now is the time for the trumpet

Listen closely, you will hear the call

I am coming for you my queen

I am waiting until it is time

The wisdom that I gave you

To open your eyes… I am alive

Be weary of dreamers of dreams

And prophets that love to scheme

Remember I am the way to life

There is no other but me…

Come out of false doctrines of devils

That you not engage in her ways

Time is approaching for my return

I am coming…….in the end….

Do not be afraid and worry not

Remember my words this day

If I knew when I was to return, I would have said

But only the father knows when you are ready

Then I will return for you.

I will put my seal upon your hearts

And in your minds and your actions reflect on me

I am gathering you the time is at hand

I am coming again….soon

Come out of false beliefs my people

That you not engage in the ways of man

Now is the time I am coming again

Come out and know that I am your King

And you are my queen

(Here is the patience of the saints that they believe in my father that they keep his commandments and all of his ways and that they believe upon me)

What the Word says about Tribulations in the Latter Days

Posted by Lynn on July 29, 2008

Deu 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to YHWH thy Elohim, …………………………………………..;

Here is the implication that tribulations are not only for the latter days but before the latter days as well.

Jdg 10:14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of G-d.

Rom 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of G-d.

2Co 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

1Th 3:4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

2Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with G-d to recompense (repay or return in kind) tribulation to them that trouble you;

Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Yeshua Messiah, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of G-d, and for the testimony of Yeshua Messiah.

Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

We can clearly see by these scriptures that we will not be spared great tribulation by being removed by any rapture. Those that believe they will be spared have not the truth and are selfish. We suffer great tribulation for the sake of the gospel of TRUTH. Tribulations bring forth patience. Those of us suffering for the truth at the hands of those rejecting truth are the ones suffering great tribulations unlike ever been seen or ever will be and it will get worse by we will be made whole in the end.

We are suffering the time of Jacobs Troubles now. One by one Israel is waking up. She is drawing closer to Our Heavenly Father and learning His truth and suffering for it yet rejoicing in her tribulations. All the signs are present including the wrath of Yahweh in which we call Global Warming. For HE has said He will destroy those that destroy earth.

We have to rightly divide truth for answers and we have to read and study for ourselves and not take for granted knowledge and rely on someone else for it. Yahweh is the one that holds truth and only He can give it to us. We cannot say we serve Yahweh when we are full of doctrines of devils or should I say, Demon Possessed! We need to stop and study and see that the seventy weeks of Daniel should have never been applied to the latter times as it is the foretelling of the first coming of Yeshua and is not about the antichrist.

We have to stop thinking our tribulations are financial struggles, hunger and oppression alone. These are poverty and are of the flesh they have nothing to do with the “GOOD NEWS”. These are fleshly matters. When we share truth, we will suffer in this life GREAT tribulations. The days of Great tribulation started with the apostles and disciples and those sharing and speaking truth today are still suffering tribulations with those that hear them. Ironically this subject has cause me tribulations and is the subject concerning Great tribulations.

Most go with popular interpretations of what these GREAT tribulations are and my motto is, “If the majority rules, I go with the minority”. Too many times I have believed these tribulations to be things caused by Governments such as hunger and oppression etc… But why do we face even those? FOR THE WORD AND TRUTH THAT YAHWEH BECAME FLESH AND DIED FOR US TO LIVE! How many will accept that Yahweh physically became flesh and died then resurrected HIMSELF without calling us blasphemers? When we call Him Yeshua we are speaking of him as Father, Creator, Husband, Savior, Comforter, Truth, faithful, Son, Ruach etc…HE IS LOVE AND BASED ON LOVE HE IS OUR SALVATION hence the name Yeshua…YAHWEH is salvation. We suffer for truth. Yeah yeah yeah… the rotten things will happen and we probably will suffer physically in the world because of our leaders but we suffer spiritually even with those claiming to know truth, for the truth.

These are the Great tribulations we are told about are Jacobs troubles and we are going through them now.

Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The Seal of YHWH and the Mark of the Beast

Posted by Lynn on July 27, 2008

The Seal of YHWH and the Mark of the Beast

Some have interpreted the mark of the beast as an actual tattoo of some sort or perhaps a microchip injected into the hand or the forehead. Others think it might be connected to a credit card, national health card or bar code. However has anyone taken the time in these assumptions to see if this is biblical or not? There is a seal of YHWH and a mark of the beast which identifies who you belong to. This is a mark/seal that can be seen but not though eyes like a tattoo or a chip but through a person’s lifestyle and how they act and believe.

The Seal of YHWH

These verses refer to the seal of YHWH.

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Please notice that the previous verses indicate a figurative seal, not a physical seal. The following verses would seem to be a physical seal of some kind on the forehead.

In Revelations it also talks of the sealed of YHWH and it is a seal that is known from above. Do not hurt them with the seal of YHWH for example.
The seal of God is in His law, so clearly this is a symbolic seal, not a literal one.

Deu 6:6  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Deu 6:7  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 6:8  And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Deu 11:18  Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
Deu 11:19  And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Put these words to heart and they shall be a seal of knowledge in your mind and a sign of action to your hand.

Exo 13:9  And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

Exo 31:13  Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you

Exo 31:17  It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

YHWH’s laws should be in our minds and our actions should show it. A sign between YHWH and those with His seal is the keeping of the Sabbath.

So if YHWH’s seal is not physical lets see if the enemies is….

The Mark of the Beast

Now here are verses that refer to the mark of the beast:

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man WORSHIP THE BEAST and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who WORSHIP THE BEAST and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Rev 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which WORSHIPPED his image.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that WORSHIPPED his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Notice how many times worship is mentioned in connection with the mark of the beast.

It appears that our worship matters, I am not here to talk about days of the week but the heart of belief and knowledge to how your act as you worship. What you believe and how your actions reflect whether you believe false fairy tales or TRUTH. Believe me it does show. Most that get this far start talking about the difference between Sunday worship and Saturday worship and that’s missing the point. Its not the day you keep it, its the heart and mind and hand of how you worship in it. Your beliefs guide your hands to act and by your actions you are known….

Secret Rapture Fact or Fallacy?

Posted by Lynn on July 26, 2008

http://www.secret-rapture.com/

Introduction

Is there really a Secret Rapture with a second chance of salvation? Regardless of the topic when it is associated with salvation, Satan has deceptions in every area in an attempt to steal as many people as possible from God’s kingdom. It is a grave error to underestimate the enemy. It does not matter how many people believe a lie, it will never make it truth. Mark Twain once said, “A lie can travel halfway around the world, while truth puts on its shoes.” The only way to avoid the enemy’s deception and find truth is to study the scriptures diligently. Multitudes of people have been exposed to this “dispensationalist” or “futurist” interpretation of prophecy and have been utterly confused. So what is the real truth about this so-called secret rapture?

What is the Secret rapture theory?

According to those teaching the secret rapture theory, the coming of Jesus will be in two separate stages. The first will be a secret rapture of the Church at the beginning of a seven year tribulation period followed by a glorious, triumphant return of Christ to the Earth accompanied by the Church at the end of the seven year period. They believe that during this seven year period the Antichrist is going to come into power and God will select and seal 144,000 literal Jews who will take the Gospel to the whole world converting immeasurable souls to Christ. They also believe the battle of Armageddon is a literal national war against literal Israel, which occurs near the end of the seven years and is brought to a halt by Christ’s return with His Church. Then literal Israel accepts the Lord as the Messiah and enters with Him as His covenant people into the 1,000 year (millennial) reign on earth known as the Kingdom Age. Christ will rule directly over the earth from the throne of David in Jerusalem, where the typical temple services function again. Those who ultimately reject Christ’s rule are eventually judged and destroyed at the end of the Millennium. The new believers will then receive immortality and eternity will begin.

However, the Bible nowhere speaks of these two separate comings and the word “rapture” is also an invention of theologians and occurs nowhere in the Bible. The deception does not stop there, Christians also debate whether we will be taken before the tribulation or in the middle of the seven years or at the completion of the seven year tribulation. These are called pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation and post tribulation. Now for the most amazing part of these views in regards to the seven year tribulation period; are you ready for this? It was manufactured by a Jesuit Priest who was commissioned to come up with this false interpretation of Bible Prophecy. This raises many questions, such as why was this done and how could so many be drawn into this lie. I hope you will read on as we cover all aspects of this topic and reveal the Bible truth.

Does the Bible teach there is a Secret Rapture?

This is a brief point by point account of the order of events according to Scripture; there is Christ’s second coming, the resurrection, the catching up of the saints to meet Jesus in the air which all take place at the same time and at the end of the world. This is why Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 “…and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Why would Jesus promise to be with the church until the end of the world if He intended to come seven years before the end to take them out of the world? The promise would then have no meaning.

This false doctrine on the secret rapture is contradictory to the words of Jesus in Matthew 13 when He said the wheat and tares would grow together until the “end of the world” and then would be separated. According to this dual coming secret rapture theory, both groups would not grow together until the end of the world. The righteous would be separated from the wicked seven years before the end. And what about the promise of the resurrection? Christ said, concerning the righteous, John 6:40 “…and I will raise him up at the last day.” No one denies that this means the last day of the world. Paul declares the saints are caught up to meet the Lord at the “same time” the dead in Christ are raised. He says, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Did you note that Jesus called this resurrection the “last day?” But how could it be the “last day” if this gathering of the saints takes place seven years before the end of the world? And how could the “last trump” (see 1 Corinthians 15:52 below) sound if it really wasn’t the very last moment of time? Imagine the graves opening and the righteous rising and no one knowing that it had occurred? Consider also the added testimony from God’s Word;

Matthew 24:27 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:30 “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:31 “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (This is clearly the time when Christ comes to gather His saints.)

1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 6:16-17 “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

There is no understood scripture that says the second coming of Christ to gather His saints will be a secret rapture. All these verses show it will be a very loud and very visible event that every eye shall see. There is nothing secret about any aspect of His coming. Those believing in the secret rapture sometimes quote Matthew 24:40-41 out of context. The entire passage reads;

Matthew 24:37-41 “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Jesus is demonstrating the parallels between the days of Noah and the second coming of Christ. The eight that entered Noah’s Ark were saved and those that scoffed perished as the flood “took them all away.” Many have been taught that the ones taken are the ones saved but note it is actually the ones taken that are destroyed. There was no second chance. Jesus said and “so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” The last verse of this chapter tells us what will happen to those who are taken to destruction. Matthew 24:51 “And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Those believing in the secret rapture also quote Jesus in saying He will come as a thief in the night, meaning it will be a secret rapture. Jesus said in Matthew 24:43-44 “But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Jesus is not talking about coming secretly but coming unexpectedly when we least expect Him and so the wicked will be taken by surprise. This is why Jesus tells us to be ready as we know not the hour of His return. If we are not right with Christ and living wicked lives, when He returns we will be left behind.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 is also quoted which reads, “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” Same message as before be ready for Christ’s unexpected return. And what happens after His return? 1 Thessalonians 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” How secret is sudden destruction? Those that are left after Jesus’ return encounter “sudden destruction.” Again, just like in the days of Noah.

These two “thief texts” are also used to teach a secret rapture. Revelation 3:3 “Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.” In both these instances just quoted, the secrecy is also in connection with the timing not the nature of the event, and is exactly the same as the other “thief texts.” Notice the phrase in chapter 3:3 which says “hold fast, and repent” and the last part of verse 15 which says “lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

This is once again a warning to be not caught living in sin, because we know not the hour which Jesus will return. He will come unexpectedly when you least expect it as does a thief. It would be no good for the thief if you knew when he was coming as you would be ready for him and he could not rob you. In the same way we need to be ready and living in righteousness now and not just when we think Jesus is coming or we will be “caught naked and our shame seen.” Those who love and obey Jesus will be ready for His return. This is the meaning of the phrase “to come as a thief” that is used several times in the Bible to warn us so we will not be left behind.

And still one more. 2 Peter 3:10 says “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Again, absolutely nothing secret. To the contrary, it could not be more obvious. It states after Jesus comes unexpectedly as does a thief, “the heavens shall pass away with a great noise” and “the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth … shall be burned up.” So when Jesus returns the very next thing is the end i.e. the last day. If coming “as a thief” is a secret rapture which takes place seven years before the end of the world, how can the heavens and earth “pass away” as Peter describes it? Three of these “thief texts” are all followed by the same unmistakable catastrophic sudden destruction. Coming as a thief is unexpected, NOT a secret!

Will Christ’s second coming include a third coming?

Those who believe in a “secret rapture” say that the Greek word “parousia” refers to the secret “coming” of Jesus in His presence and that the Greek word “apokalupsis” refers to the visible glorious “coming” of Jesus in power seven years later. They also teach in middle of this seven year period, (3.5 years) the antichrist will reign. But “parousia” and “apokalupsis” are BOTH used to describe the second coming as we will soon show by its parallel in the “days of Noah.”

Paul uses the word “parousia” in the well known so called “rapture chapter” of 1 Thessalonians 4 when speaking of the coming of Christ and our gathering together unto Him. Paul then shows that this “parousia” will destroy the man of sin; the Antichrist. Paul says, “whom the Lord shall…destroy with the brightness of his coming [parousia].” 2 Thessalonians 2:8. These scriptures unmistakably describe the coming [parousia] of Christ as taking place after the reign of the man of sin, not as a secret rapture before the Antichrist’s reign begins.

The other Greek word “apokalupsis” [revelation] is used in a way that indicates it is not a separate second coming from the time the believers are gathered up. Peter said in 1 Peter 1:13 to “… be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation [apokalupsis] of Jesus Christ;” Why would Christians be exhorted to continue hoping to the end of the world for the grace brought through the revelation of Jesus Christ if their real hope was a secret rapture seven years before the revelation?

These following verses showing Matthew and Luke’s account of the same event prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the words “parousia” and “apokalupsis” do refer to the same event. In Matthew 24:37 we read, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming [parousia] of the Son of man be.” And the same account in Luke 17:26, 30; “As it was in the days of Noah…Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed [apokalupsis].

This shows that the coming [parousia] of Christ and the revelation [apokalupsis] of Christ are the same event. There is absolutely no basis for placing seven years in between. This whole counterfeit secret rapture is built upon a constant repetition of words and ideas that have been repeated so often that millions have assumed that they must be biblically sound.

Where in the Bible is the Seven Year Tribulation period?

As there is so much secret rapture theology revolving around the seven year period, one would deduce that the Bible must speak frequently of this time period. There is in fact not one single scriptural reference which ties the seven years to the end of the world or the coming of Christ. Most secret rapture literature mention the seven year tribulation period without offering any Bible proof or explanation. One woman once asked me if I believed in the seven year tribulation period, which knowing the truth, I promptly replied no. I was then told I was wrong as the Holy Spirit had revealed this to her. I asked her where the scripture was to support this, of which she replied, “it is here in the Bible somewhere.” I am still waiting for her to give me the reference. Absolutely millions of people have assumed that it must be so well documented that no proof is needed. The fact is the absolute opposite is true. There just simply isn’t any evidence to give.

Where did the secret rapture and seven year tribulation theory originate?

In early 1830, a 15 year old Scottish Girl called Margaret McDonald had visions that included a Secret Rapture of believers before the appearance of the Antichrist. Edward Irving (1792-1834) who was her Scottish Presbyterian pastor and forerunner of the Charismatic and Pentecostal movements, attended prophecy conferences that began in Dublin Ireland also in 1830 at Powerscourt Castle where he promoted the doctrine of the Secret Rapture as per her vision.

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) who was a minister of the Church of Ireland later became a member of the Plymouth Brethren and also promoted the Secret Rapture after attending the same Powerscourt Bible Prophecy meeting in 1830 where he learned of Margaret McDonald’s supposed vision. Darby modified her views and then taught them under his own name. He developed and organized “futurism” into a system of prophetic teaching called “dispensationalism” with the so-called secret rapture at its centre. He visited Margaret McDonald at her home in Port Glasgow, Scotland and then later visited America several times where this Secret Rapture theology starting gaining a large acceptance in the 1850s and 1860s.

John Nelson Darby who was largely responsible for introducing this new teaching on a large scale also greatly influenced Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921) who also incorporated this false doctrine into the notes of his Scofield Reference Bible, first published by Oxford University Press in 1909. One million copies were printed by 1930, firmly establishing this Futurist theory into different denominations and Bible schools of the United States in the 20th Century.

Did this Secret Rapture theory originate with Margaret McDonald?

Historical evidence actually reveals it originated much earlier. Before and during the Protestant Reformation, the Reformers embraced the true “Historical” interpretation of the Bible where the antichrist was clearly seen as a system of apostasy and persecution rather than a single individual. John spoke of antichrist that “shall come” but he also added that “even now are there MANY antichrists” 1 John 2:18. So we know that there was not just one but many antichrists and that the antichrist system was operating when John was writing about 2000 years ago. The conclusion of those who studied these prophecies during the Reformation was that there was only one system that fit all the characteristics of who is the antichrist power which was the Papal system of the Roman Catholic Church. The following are the many identifiable characteristics:

  1. It will rise to be a great power after the fall of the pagan Roman Empire (after 476 A.D.)
  2. It will be a geographically small nation (a little horn). (Dan 7:8)
  3. It will rule over many people, nations, and tongues (it will be universal). (Rev 13:7)
  4. It will be headquartered in the city of seven hills, Rome.
  5. It will be a religio-political entity – a political city-state ruled by a priest-king.
  6. Its priest-king will make great and blasphemous claims. (Rev 13:1, 6)
  7. It will claim authority over all kings. (Rev 17:18)
  8. It will claim its power to change the holy times and laws of God as its mark of authority. (Dan 7:25)
  9. It will be an apostate church that makes the nations drink her cup of apostate doctrine. (Rev 14:8)
  10. It will be a “mother” harlot church, with apostate daughters coming from her. (Rev 17:5)
  11. It will be a persecuting power, killing the faithful saints of Jesus Christ as heretics. (Rev 13:7)
  12. It will hold power and authority for 1260 years following the fall of pagan Rome.
  13. It will suffer a deadly wound that will end 1260 years of dominance and persecution.
  14. It will be revived after the deadly wound, and all the world would wonder at its revival. (Rev 13:3)

No wonder the Roman Catholic Church was so opposed to the Bible being available for everyone to read for themselves. To control what they called heretical doctrine, the Catholic Church called for a special meeting known as the Fifth Lateran Council, (1512-1517) which forbade anyone to publish a book without prior censorship and also prohibited anyone from preaching on the subject of antichrist. The leaders of the Council and the Catholic Church also attempted to ban or burn all Bibles, heretical books, and the heretics that owned or preached from them.

The major characteristic identifying the antichrist power was this 1260 years of persecution of the “saints” which was fulfilled in the Catholic Church’s persecution of Christians throughout the dark ages beginning in 538 A.D. after the fall of the pagan Roman empire, and extending to 1798 (1260 years exactly), when the Pope was taken prisoner by Napoleons general Berthier and died. This was the deadly head wound. (Revelation 13:3) In order to divert attention away from the Roman Catholic Church as the antichrist power, a new interpretation would have to be found. This was done by rejecting the true “Historical” interpretation and accepting a false “Futurist” interpretation proposed by a Jesuit doctor of theology, Francisco Ribera (1537-1591).

In his book, entitled “In Sacrum Beati Ioannis Apostoli, & Evangelistiae Apocalypsin Commentarij”, he postulated that the 1260 day prophecy were not 1260 years but a literal 3 1/2 years, or 1260 actual days, and therefore none of the book of Revelation had any application to the Middle Ages or the Papacy. It applied to a future period just prior to the Second Coming of Christ; hence it was called “Futurism” or the “Futurist” interpretation. Manuel De Lacunza (1731-1801), a Jesuit priest from Chile, also advocated futurism in his manuscript entitled “La Venida del Mesias en Gloria y Magestad” (The Coming of the Messiah in Glory and Majesty). Writing under the assumed name of Juan Josafa (Rabbi) Ben-Ezra, Lacunza hoped to obscure the fact that he was a Roman Catholic, in order to give his book better acceptance in Protestantism.

Secret Rapture Chart

This historicism chart illustrates the three schools of interpretation regarding antichrist. Ribera’s futurism puts the antichrist into a future three and one-half literal years. Alcazar’s preterism identifies the antichrist as Nero. Both put antichrist outside the Middle Ages and the reformation period identified by Protestant Historicists as antichrist’s reign of 1260 prophetic years. The truly amazing part of all this is that the Futurist theory dominates Protestant teaching today. That scenario is directly traceable back to the pen of the Jesuit Francisco Ribera who manufactured this theory for the sole purpose of diverting attention from the Papacy. In what could only be described as a stunning reversal, Protestants have over time actually become the Papacy’s greatest ally by spreading its Jesuit spawned propaganda. What irony that Protestants who originally broke away from what they clearly recognized to be the harlot antichrist led church of prophecy, now champion the Futurist interpretation from high profile ministries. Futurism has without doubt, been successful beyond the wildest dreams of its Jesuit authors. The same applies to the Preterist interpretation of Luis De Alcazar, although to a lesser degree. For very detailed information, see the origins of Futurism.

What scripture was manipulated to come up with the seven year tribulation?

Most Bible students are stunned to learn where the seven years came from. In Daniel 9:24-27 God gave a prophecy concerning the probation of Israel. Daniel 9:24 reads, “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

God was going to allow Daniel’s people seventy weeks to end their rebellion against God and if they failed, Israel would be rejected as a nation. The seventy weeks are prophetic time and each day represents a literal year (Ezekiel 4:6 and Numbers 14:34). So the seventy weeks would actually be a literal 490 years after which the Israelites were no longer God’s people. The seventy prophetic weeks were to begin with the decree to restore and build Jerusalem.

Daniel 9:25 “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

That well known date is 457 B.C., when Artaxerxes sent out the decree. (Ezra 7:13) From that date the Jews would have exactly 490 years to stop their rebellion towards God. The 490 year probation ended in A.D. 34 and the Jews ceased to be God’s chosen people. Daniel 9:25 says that the Messiah would be anointed after the total of sixty nine of those prophetic weeks had passed by. That would be 483 years from the decree date of 457 B.C. It takes no mathematician to figure the end of that prediction. It brings us to the year A.D. 27, the very year that Jesus was baptized by John and the Holy Spirit anointed Him for His ministry. Since “Messiah” means “Anointed One,” this can only be the fulfilment of Daniel’s prophecy that the Messiah would appear in A.D. 27. Seventy weeks were assigned to the Jewish probation but Christ appeared as the Messiah after sixty nine weeks. That leaves the final and seventieth week for Christ to minister before the Jews probation ended. What was to happen in the seventieth week?

Daniel 9:27 tells us, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.

The “midst of the week” would be three and a half prophetic days (or 3.5 literal years) from His baptism and according to the Bible, the ministry of Jesus lasted for exactly that, three and a half years. In the spring of A.D. 31 Jesus was crucified and the veil of the temple was rent (Matthew 27:51), signifying the end of sacrifices. By His death He caused the “sacrifice and the oblation to cease.” Another three and a half years would lead up to the end of the seventy weeks and the end of Jewish probation. During that three and a half years the disciples laboured mainly for the Jews but in A.D. 34 the seventy weeks ended; Stephen was stoned after his massive speech before the council in Acts chapter 7 and the gospel began to go to the Gentiles (Acts 8:4). The Jews had rejected the gospel message and were no longer God’s people just as Daniel had predicted. Now they could only be saved as individuals in exactly the same way as the Gentiles.

The seventy weeks or 490 years was the time God gave His chosen nation to end their rebellion where He would then forgive them for their transgressions. Notice how Jesus refers to this prophetic time period here in His conversation with Peter. Seventy times seven is of course 490.

Matthew 18:21 “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Now, to make the Jesuit manufactured prophecy fit its new interpretation, Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 which began in 457 B.C. with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem (Ezra 7:1-27) had to develop a “gap.” Arbitrarily the 70th week (7 days = 7 years) of Daniel’s prophecy is detached from its context and placed at the end of the age 2000 years later where it logically can no longer be the seventieth week. This “week” will according to its proponents constitute the “seven year tribulation period,” prior to which the Secret Rapture will occur.

This false and illogical “gap” theory states that all fulfilment of this prophecy is suspended until the Christian era is over. Then the last week of the 70 weeks prophecy becomes operative again constituting the seven year tribulation period. This false Jesuit manufactured theory teaches that the first sixty nine weeks of this seventy week prophecy (490 years) reached from 457 B.C. to the year 27 A.D. when Jesus began His ministry. The true “Historical” view teaches that the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9 began in 457 B.C. and ended when Stephen was stoned to death in 34 A.D. It was at that time that the gospel went to the Gentiles and the Jewish people lost their place as those “Chosen” to spread God’s message to the world. They had also rejected Christ by calling for His crucifixion in the “middle of the week,” in 31 A.D. and then rejected Christ’s followers by stoning Stephen 3.5 years later at the end of the 70th week. (34 A.D.)

So we find this false rapturist theory gets the seven years tribulation by lifting that seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy completely out of its context and shoving it far into the future where it is logically no longer the seventieth week. They claim it will be fulfilled after Christ comes to snatch away the righteous secretly. They agree that the sixty nine weeks of Daniel 9:25 refer to the period before Christ’s first advent, but then they insert a 2000 year gap before the seventieth week is fulfilled. They allot 69 weeks plus 2,000 years plus one week, or a total of approximately 2,490 years. By this devious manipulation of God’s Word by the Papacy, the rapturist’s believe they have extended the Jewish probation and based upon this, they teach that all the Jews will be saved in a great second chance after the “secret rapture” takes place.

Daniel's Seventy weeks Chart

The tragedy of this Jesuit spawned rapture theory that was commissioned by the Papacy is that it takes this beautiful messianic prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27, that proves Jesus is the Messiah by predicting His coming, His baptism and crucifixion, and then applying it to the Antichrist. They do this by stating that it is Antichrist that causes the sacrifice and oblation to cease after three and a half years. But Daniel states that it is Jesus who caused the sacrificial system of the Jews to cease when He died on the cross. A misinterpretation that confuses something Christ has done and applies it to the devil instead, is certainly a tragic and blasphemous occurrence. This is however the only way they could arrive at a seven year tribulation period. How very sad.

When speaking of Christ’s second coming, you often hear the question are you pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation or post tribulation. These terms are also the result of the very same Jesuit spawned propaganda. It also comes from the seventieth week of Daniel’s 70 week prophecy. Pre-tribulation is taken from the time of Christ’s anointing, mid-tribulation comes from the time Christ was crucified and post tribulation comes from the end of Daniel’s 70 week period which was the end of Israel’s time to repent of there rebellion and coincided with Stephens stoning.

Who is spreading this false secret rapture theory today?

In the 1990s, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins took the future one-man Antichrist idea of Hal Lindsey, Cyrus Scofield, John Darby, Irving, Newman, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera and turned it into “The most successful Christian-fiction series ever” (Publishers Weekly).

Hal Lindsey’s book, “The Late Great Planet Earth,” was largely theological, which limited its appeal, while “Left Behind” is a sequence of highly imaginative fictional novels. The television ministries of Jack Van Impe, Peter and Paul Lalonde and Pastor John Hagee have all worked together to produce “LEFT BEHIND: The Movie.” This project even caught the attention of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, resulting in an interview with LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins on Larry King Live. Left Behind is now teaching much of the same Jesuit Futurism as Francisco Ribera, which is hiding the real truth about the Antichrist. Through Left Behind, Futurism has taken a very strong hold, unleashing a massive tidal wave of false prophecy which is sweeping over the world. Everyone believes movies and books, right? With all the false teaching already circulating on the secret rapture and seven year tribulation period, even though these books are fictional, many have taken them as being greatly truth. Satan continues to clap his hands in glee over just another one of his great deceptions on the Christian world. And as usual, many Christians and even Pastors will not entertain the idea of this being possible as they will not consider the majority could be wrong and so the lie continues to spread like a disease.

If Christians don’t start waking up to the devils many deceptions, a lot of good people are going to perish. Satan’s deceptions are strong and convincing, but Christ has given us ample information to help us discern truth from error if we will only diligently study His Word.

Do we go through the great tribulation?

The Bible says that those who refuse the Mark of the Beast will NOT be affected by the Seven Last Plagues that come over the whole world. (Revelation 16:2) But this does not mean that we will not have to go through the time of trouble, nor that we will not be persecuted.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Revelation 16:12, 15 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial (sixth plague) upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Note again that it is no secret rapture when Jesus comes “as a thief” as the angels have just poured out six plagues on the Earth for those who received the Mark of the beast or worshipped his image. Hence we are also here during the tribulation as these plagues are part of God’s judgement which follows. God’s faithful ones are of course protected from these plagues.

In Daniel 3:16-28 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace but God was with them through the persecution and in this case took them safely through it. They refused to disobey God and kept His Commandments. Note how Revelation 14:12 below also talks of how those who did not get the Mark of the Beast also kept God’s Commandments. There is obviously a strong link there to obedience to God and who we Worship in regards to the Mark.

The Bible often refers to times of patience with times of suffering. Revelation 13:10 speaks of the “patient of the saints” after they endured the 1260 years of persecution from the Roman Catholic Church which is the first Beast. Over 50 million Christians were tortured and murdered. Revelation 14:12 is the verse following the Mark of the Beast warning, and the “patience of the saints” as those who will endure through that time and still keep God’s Commandments.

Revelation 13:10 “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The teaching of this false, Jesuit manufactured Secret Rapture and escape from persecution will be a devastating deception for Christians. Persecution and suffering have always been God’s means of strengthening His people and producing strong character. Here is God’s purpose in times of tribulation. It is to build perseverance, character, trust and hope in Him.

Romans 5:3-4 “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Satan wants to impede and restrain strength and character building in Christians by getting us focused on escaping trouble and persecution instead of our preparing to go through persecution even to the point of death. Even Jesus “learned obedience by the things which he suffered.” (Hebrews 5:8) Jesus guarantees that if we speak His truth boldly, we will suffer persecution.

John 15:20 “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

James 5:10 “Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

When these “soft” Christians are confronted with heavy persecution, they will fall like dominoes and Satan will be ecstatic and yet once again Satan’s lies will have been very successful.

Will there be a Second Chance?

I would imagine the answer to this question should be fairly obvious by now but let’s look at it anyway. Those who teach the secret rapture claim that during the tribulation those not raptured will be given another chance to be saved. Let it be categorically stated that absolutely nowhere does Scripture speak of any second chance, nor does the Bible anywhere speak of people being saved after Jesus comes. This is just another manmade doctrine that is indeed pleasing to the carnal heart of man and the devils intention to have those who would wait perish with Christ’s coming. The Bible in fact actually teaches the opposite. Notice these clear Scriptures;

2 Corinthians 6:2 “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Revelation 22:11-12 “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

When Jesus comes the second time, He carries “in his hand a sharp sickle.” Revelation 14:14. This is the reaping time after sixty centuries of the sowing of the seeds of sin. This is the harvest time, and “the harvest is the end of the world.” Matthew 13:39. “And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.” Revelation 14:16.

Jeremiah 8:20 truly says, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” There can be no saving after the reaping of earth’s harvest at the coming of Christ. When Jesus and His Holy angels appear, then “before him shall be gathered all nations.” Matthew 25:32. There will only be two classes in that great company. The destiny of each has been set by what he did before the coming of Christ. Let us stand firm on the Word of God alone and reject these manmade, Satan driven, pleasing ideas that form the bulk of the whole secret rapture theory.

The attitude of so many Christians seems to be that you should live a Holy life now so you don’t have to go through the Great Tribulation, but even if you don’t you will get another chance after this so-called secret rapture. But as we have seen in scripture and by this manufactured doctrine, when judgment comes there is no second chance. When people die in their sins they are lost forever, there is no second chance. Why should the Second Coming be any different?

Can Christ’s return be at any moment?

All too frequently coupled with the Secret Rapture doctrine is the equally misguided concept that Christ can come back at any moment, even tonight, as we so often hear well meaning Pastors and Evangelists proclaim. While we do not doubt the Lord’s ability, we do believe that God is not the author of confusion but of a great plan for those who trust and obey Him. Although we are well aware that no man knows the exact day and hour of Christ’s return, it is equally certain that there are various prophecies that await their complete fulfilment and that not until we witness these things come to pass, can we expect the Lord at any moment. It was this very doctrine which had come into the Church at Thessalonica and made it necessary for Paul to write:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Those who believe in the Secret Rapture and that Christ can come at any moment say He will gather the believers before antichrist appears yet this Scripture says the absolute opposite. This verse refers to the Papacy and the pope seated (sitteth) in a position of power in the Church. We are the temple of God on Earth now. For Paul to call a rebuilt temple the temple of God would be to deny what Christ did on the cross. When the temple curtain was ripped from top to bottom this signified the end to the sacrificial system. Paul would never call it God’s temple.

Secret Rapture Summary

It is our sincere and earnest prayer that this document will reveal to you the total unscriptural nature of the Secret Rapture doctrine. Instead of preparing God’s people to face the increasingly difficult days ahead, as tribulation intensifies, this Jesuit manufactured doctrine has deluded millions of Christians into a false notion of escapism. Instead of obeying the Lord’s command to resist evil and occupy until He comes, they have become so “rapture” minded that they no longer even resist the evil, believing that they will not defeat it, but instead be rescued from it.

Sometime soon, Satan will attempt to personate Jesus and counterfeit His return to Earth. But God’s people need not be deceived. When the disciples asked Jesus for the sign of His coming and the end of the world, the very first thing He told them was to be on guard against impostors. In Matthew 24:4-5 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

The devil has been sharpening his deception skills for 6,000 years and his last masquerade will be his masterpiece. Jesus warns that he will do such a convincing job that, if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. Satan has introduced the strong delusion of the secret rapture to the Christian world that has been almost universally accepted in mainline churches. Jesus warned in Matthew 24:23-24 “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

As we have noticed, the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ will come the second time in glorious majesty to take His redeemed home with Him. It will be a personal, visible, and earth shaking event that everyone alive will know about. The righteous will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17), whereas the wicked will be slain by the brightness of His coming (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Let us carefully and diligently study our Bibles so we will not be deceived concerning this most important and wonderful hope, the second coming of Jesus.

Christ’s Second Coming will be seen and heard by all

The Second Coming of Christ

The Bible is unmistakeably clear that when Jesus comes back, His feet never touch the ground. It says the righteous will be caught up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). This is why Jesus emphatically warns us in Matthew 24:26, “Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

His Second Coming is Not a Secret

Matthew 24:27-31 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Acts 1:9-11 “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee , why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 6:14 “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

His Second Coming Will Be Audible

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

His Second Coming Will Be Visible

Matthew 24:27 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:30 “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

His Second Coming Will Destroy the Earth

Isaiah 24:19 “The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Revelation 6:14 “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Revelation 16:18-20 “And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and Matthew 24 are the same event

The Rapture.. I too once believed in the lie

Posted by Lynn on July 26, 2008

Growing up in church, I was taught that the saints, those saved, would be spared from the end by a secret rapture. Oh how wonderful it would be when the Messiah came back and raptured His believers away forever to be in heaven. As an adult, seeking truth and having the desire to know God , I now know how mislead I was and deceived. Today the church (COGOP) I grew up in still holds on to the lie so tightly that they fail to receive any truth at all and are clearly a dead church. That is why it is so important to dig deep into things and get the truth of it even if it means reprogramming yourself. In this blog I am going to show you facts that completely dispel the Rapture and expose it as a doctrine of demons spoken of by Paul. Not that it alone is false but one of many false doctrines that many stumble at truth because of it.

First we need to understand that the 7 week of tribulation as taught also in churches and in Judeo-Christianity is a LIE. see http://forbiddenfruitjam.wordpress.com/2008/07/24/7-years-of-tribulation/

With that in mind, it cancels out a pre-trib rapture because tribulations started 2000+ years ago. It also cancels out a mid-trib rapture because we are past the half way point and are indeed closer to the end. It also does away with the post-trib rapture because what I am going to show you is not a Rapture of believers but rather a rapture, if you want to call it that, of evil and resurrection of the elect.

Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Before the flood men where doing their own thing without YHWH and not that we cannot eat or drink or marry but they were partaking in sinful abusive behavior and had turned from YHWH. AT the time of the flood we have read that only Noah found favor with YHWH. Just like in the flood, the evil had no idea when or if the flood would come and so it shall be when the Messiah returns. The evil ones will be the ones not knowing. There will be no secrets to the believers because HE has told us in His word and He will prepare us for His coming. So when He comes it is the evil that will be taken away like the flood. Believers will not be taken away first. The evil will be removed and destroyed. Many Christians misuse the following as well and say it is a rapture of the saints.

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The ones taken are removed just as in the days of Noah, like the flood. Its the saved one that is left. The series “Left Behind” has been one of the biggest misleading series to read. I have read it and it is in no way truthful. They are not biblical and are full of deceit and lies on all biblical principles. They should be burned! I threw my books in the trash rather then let someone else read that trash and be mislead by lies. I am sick and tired of being lied to by man.

Again here is more on what they say talks about a rapture.

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

They say because the days will be shortened is referring to the rapture. But it doesn’t say that at all. It means He will not continue to tarry when it gets real bad because of the elect. HE WILL RETURN.

So when is He coming?

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There are things that must take place before He returns and they are happening now. The great falling away is ever so alive. Churches are spreading lies at an alarming rate and misleading the sheep to believe in any doctrines. No one studies for themselves,. Everyone in their own minds serve a god that is comfortable to them and are not saved at all. The man of sin has already been revealed to them that are seeking truth and is being revealed to those also that YHWH has called. The church of today supports the anti-Christ while saying they don’t. They are blind to who the anti-Christ is and deceived with delusion. Until this is fulfilled, Messiah won’t come.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. [God is letting the evil ones do what they are doing until HE destroys them. When YHWH is ready to reveal the identity to His chosen, He will]
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [Anti-Christ has been at work since Messiah's first coming.]
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [Many serve the anti-Christ ignorantly and in doing so have rejected the love of the truth. They follow man rather then YHWH]
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [DUH...Like the rapture!]

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When Messiah returns, it will be a noisy and loud day! The dead will be given life and those alive that remain will be with them. They shall all be changed and made as the Messiah was in His resurrection. Incorruptible and immortal! To be caught up and be with Messiah is speaking of the resurrection. We were not meant to be in Heaven but rather we were told we would inherit the EARTH. To be in the air is to be out of the grave and breathing once again.

How did man ever twist and turn truth into lies? They had help from the enemy who at this time I will not be revealing until time permits me to do so. It will shock and amaze you and many will scoff at the truth and call it hate but YHWH is the one that makes the rules…not man.

Get into the word and study this subject. I will be posting more on this subject and hope you will take time and know truth!

Born Again or Born From Above

“Born AGAIN” OR “BEGOTTEN FROM ABOVE”?

by Arnold Kennedy
INTRODUCTION.

http://www.arnoldkennedy.com/assetslist.html

If ever there was a need to put aside pre-conceived ideas and teachings, there is great need
to do so in the present use of the expression “born again“. There is a common conception and
presentation throughout the Christian world that is an absolutely false and misleading error. The
basis of the expression is found in the book of John.
John 3:3-5 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto ye except a man
be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a
man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be
born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of flesh is flesh and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born
again.
In most translations, the words “born again” have been carried on in a traditional manner,
suggesting that a second “birth” is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God. Many Bibles, in their
margins, will have “from above” showing this is what the original manuscripts have. When we
look into the words actually spoken, we find that it was Nicodemus who made the suggestion
about entering a second time into his mother’s womb. This was the interpretation that Nicodemus
put on Jesus’ words, but Jesus did not say anything about a second time even if the translations
make Him appear to say He did. JESUS DID NOT USE THE WORD “AGAIN”! There is no
manuscript at all that says Jesus used the word “again”. The word deuteros that Nicodemus spake
appears in the New Testament 44 times, and it always means twice, again, etc.
Jesus did not use this word deuteros; Jesus used the word anothen.
Strong G509 anothen Includes from above, or from the first.
Thayer anothen Used of things that come from heaven [from God], or from a
higher [upper] place, or from the very first, or from the origin.
Knowing this one word difference helps understanding and shows up the problems there
are with the popular concept. Jesus confirmed to Nicodemus that He was not speaking of a second
birth when He told Nicodemus that He was referring to being born of water and of Spirit. Jesus
did not use the future tense, as did Nicodemus. Jesus was speaking of something that existed at
the time of speaking. The Christian Church has picked up the words Nicodemus spoke, rather than
the words of Jesus. Jesus chided Nicodemus for not knowing these things [v10]. Likewise today,
our teachers need chiding for the same reason of not knowing these things. Jesus went on to say
that not every person is begotten from physical birth of the Spirit, noting that, that which is of flesh
is of the flesh, being born that way at physical birth.
“AGAIN”
The word anothen that Jesus uses appears 14 times in the New Testament and it does not have a
meaning similar to deuteros (second time) or pallin (again), the latter being the word most
commonly translated as “again”. The adverb anothen always relates to place and is used of past or
former time, but never the future time. In order to discuss the word anothen, let us consider
examples of how the word has been translated.
Matt 27:51 and Mark 15:38 the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the
bottom;
Luke 1:3 having had perfect understanding all things from the very
first.
John 3:31 He that cometh from above is above all:
John 19:11 except it were given thee from above:
John 19:23 now the coat was without seam, woven from the top
throughout.
Acts 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning,
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above
None of these indicate “again” in any sense.
“BORN”
Begetting and birth are two vastly different events. Begetting as used of men is the action
and process of conception, for example, Abraham begat Isaac [Matt 1:16]. Birth as used of
woman, is movement from one environment to another, for example, Mary of whom Jesus was
born [Matt 1-16]. This word gennao varies with the context and it may have an abstract meaning
also where it is used of figurative father-child relationships [1 Cor 4:15].
This word “born” in John 3:3-5 is gennao and it is found 98 times in the New Testament.
The sense usually has connection with procreation; the most prominent meaning being beget or
begotten. We must thus now determine the time when this begetting takes place. All modern
teachers insist that people already born can be re-born in the future. But when used of a male,
begotten is usually about the time of conception; when born is used of a female it is usually about
physical birth.
Thayer It is of mankind begetting children.
Vine Chiefly used of men begetting children.
If we want to understand its use in John 3:3-5, it is necessary to look at the Greek which
does not indicate future tense here. Modern theology or teaching likes to use the words in the
future tense [from tradition], but this is a total error. We have been taught so wrongly to use the
words, except a man be born again in the future tense that it is hard for many to think otherwise.
But “be born” is indefinite with respect to time. Jesus taught exactly what is taught through the
Old Testament, namely that God’s race is born from an original sowing.
“BORN OF WATER AND OF SPIRIT”
This is not only an interesting subject; but John 3:5 [Except a man be born of water and of
the spirit] is a key verse. Because of the “and” we see there are two requirements for perceiving
the Kingdom of God: water as well as spirit. What is believed here determines which gospel is
believed. We have the choice to believe that any man of any race can see the kingdom of God or
we can believe the limitation that Jesus presents:
The word for water is hudor and it is used of water of all sorts. On its own it means
nothing but water! Some religious so-called experts argue that the expression refers to baptism,
but this cannot be so because the thief on the cross [stake] went to paradise without being baptised.
So we have to look further.
A person is begotten of water as part of the natural process following biological
conception, but Jesus added the words, and of the Spirit. This makes it clear that the ability to
comprehend the Kingdom of God is included at the time of conception. To determine what this is
about, we must of necessity go back to the Old Testament to see who and what was begotten of the
Spirit. We can anticipate that the Old Testament will agree with the New Testament.
WHO DID GOD BEGET?
Exodus 4:22 Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn.
Statements like this immediately exclude all the other races and potentially, those before
Jacob. So, there is no need to go further back in the Bible, apart from noting that both Abraham
and Sarah were from the Adamic seed. They could not have been from the pre-Adamic or other later seed-lines. When God separated Abram and Sara He regenerated their ability to conceive a
child and commemorated the event by changing their names adding the fifth letter of the Hebrew
alphabet into their names – Abraham and Sarah. This number is connected with the Spirit of God!
The life in Sarah’s womb was spirit-endowed. Now, consider these questions:
1. If Israel was God’s firstborn son, then who are their offspring?
2. For Israel to be the son, then who is Israel’s father? Is it not God?
3. Does not Israel originate from God if Israel is His son?
Nowhere in the Bible can we find any suggestion of the humanist brotherhood of all men.
God is expressed as being the “Father of Israel” only. He is the father of all men OF ISRAEL, not
all men of all races.
Jesus taught His disciples [all Israelites only] to pray saying, our Father which art in
heaven. This is better translated our Father, the One in heaven. Neither God nor man can be
called a father until they have begotten offspring. There is no suggestion of a spiritual birth later
in life. God states that He is a Father in Exodus 4:22; therefore He begat offspring and is the
father of all descendants from Israel. The Apostle Peter declares that we [Israelites to whom he
was writing] are begotten from above, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, by the
Word of God.
It must be immediately pointed out that, in this verse, the incorruptible seed of God [the
Father] is sporas rather than sperma. The meaning of this word sporas is the sowing back in the
past, or sown seed and refers to the firstborn, Isaac conceived in Sarah’s womb, after God had
regenerated Sarah’s and Abraham’s ability to conceive a child. It is now an appropriate place to
look at Sarah and Abraham, who are shown to be the place [or origin], being that originating rock
or quarry and the pit.
ABRAHAM AND SARAH – THE ORIGIN
Isaiah 51:1,2 Hearken unto me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord:
look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye
are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you:
for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
It is not necessary here to establish all the reasons as to why God needed to make a new
start with Abraham and Sarah. We have to accept that He did call Abraham alone. From this
beginning, God made promises to Abraham that were to follow on to Abraham’s seed (zera). Only
those born from this new beginning could comprehend the Kingdom of God. This beginning was
from God because God had regenerated Abraham and Sarah enabling them to bear one child. In
this way Isaac was born because of God’s action.
From Adam to Abraham, Adam’s pure line contained the breath of life [see Job], so where
did the people come from who did not have the breath of life? These men and women originated
from Genesis 1. Through misgenerative activity –[i.e.race mixing]-, racial pollution was
introduced to the bloodstream of the sons of Adam, and we find that God sought to eliminate the
products of such activity. Noah was “pure in his generations” [Gen 6:9], and so he and his
unmixed family were preserved. Later, the Children of Israel were to destroy the mixed breed of
the Canaanites. These could not receive the things of the Spirit of God. They could not witness in
their spirit and say, the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God
[Rom 8:16], as an Israelite is able to do. This principle is a continuing theme in the Bible.
Through Abraham and Sarah, God established the basis for Abraham’s seed to become the
Sons of God [John 1:12]. God was making a new beginning with Abraham. None other than the
seed of Abraham, through the son of promise, Isaac, has this opportunity or potential. Abraham’s
seven other sons did not have this potential – because they were born prior to Isaac. The
descendants of Isaac were begotten of the Spirit from their conception. This is why those among
Isaac’s descendants who believe are regarded as being anointed by the Spirit [Gal 3:16]. Paul is
able to declare, now He which stablishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us is God who
has also sealed us and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts [2 Cor. 1:21,22]. In 1 Cor 2:7-
16 Paul, confirming this, tells the brethren [kinsmen of the same womb of Sarah] that they have
not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit of God [v12]. He says that through this we
might know [or comprehend] the things that are freely given to us, [the brethren], of God. He goes
on to further declare that the “natural” man [those not born of Isaac’s line] cannot receive the
things of the Spirit of God. He affirms Jesus’ statement that anyone who is not begotten of the
original sowing [in the womb of Sarah] cannot see the Kingdom of God.
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received abideth in you,
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit [practice] sin, for his seed
remaineth in him:
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
There is this relationship between the “anointing”, the right “seed”, and being begotten of God.
“FORMED FROM THE WOMB”.
Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the Lord [Jehovah] that made thee [Israel], and formed the from
the womb,
In what way would Israel be formed in the womb? Whose womb? The word beten means
what we mean today by the womb. Men do not have a womb; Abraham did not have a womb, but
Sarah did.
In Isaiah 51:1,2 as quoted above, speaking of Sarah, we find the womb described as the
hole of the pit. This metaphor is a term that extends to the mountain from which the Stone
Kingdom is taken. This is God’s mine. James who was writing to the twelve tribes said, OF HIS
OWN WILL BEGAT HE US [ISRAELITES] WITH THE WORD OF TRUTH [James 1:18]. Begat,
as has been shown, is chiefly about conception, not physical birth.
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed
thee, O Israel, …
This verse indicates a difference between Israel and Jacob. Here we have the one being
created, and the other being formed. So there are differences associated with the use of these
words in different contexts.
Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I
am the Lord that maketh all things; …
Here again, the Lord is speaking to Israel only. Nowhere in Scripture can we find
reference to the Lord being the redeemer of any other people apart from those of Israel who are
formed from the womb. In the New Testament we still find reference to the womb of Sarah.
Therefore it is as important as ever in the New Testament, as well as in the Old Testament.
Rom 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead,
when he was about an hundred years old, neither the deadness of Sara’s
womb: …
Contained in the first verse of this chapter, we see, Abraham our father, as pertaining to
the flesh. The father of us all [that is, Israelites] of verse 16 is Abraham after the flesh. This still
is not a spiritual rebirth. Remember that Paul was writing to the House of Israel to whom he was
sent.
Nicodemus, as a master or teacher in Israel, should have known these things, Jesus told
him so, in no uncertain terms. Teachers today likewise do not know these things. The womb of
Sarah and the offspring from that womb have been spiritualised away! The common New Testament word “brethren”, as has been shown, is kinsmen of the womb. What other womb would
this be other than the womb of Sarah?
“HE CAME UNTO HIS OWN” “BORN OF GOD”
John 1:11,12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as
received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God.
Quoting R.K. and R.N. Phillips in The only begotten God,
Verse 11 is almost completely misunderstood by the whole of Christendom today and the AV translation is the main cause of this misunderstanding … The word own appears twice in the verse – but in the first clause it is neuter gender while in the second it is masculine. Therefore John is referring to two different things. The first clause states that Jesus came to His own possessions [neuter gender] – His land, His Kingdom, His city, His temple. In the second clause the term His Own is the Greek term oi idios [masculine gender] which means, literally, the members of one’s own household. In this case it refers only to those who had authority over His Kingdom, city and Temple. (The vast majority of Israel were scattered abroad in the Dispersion and, at that time, were still classed as not my people.) Before we can complete the translation of verse 11, we have to look at the beginning of verse 12. The Greek text of verse 12 begins but to those who did receive Him. In this clause and the last clause of verse 11, we have another instance of the AV translating two different Greek words as one English word – in this case, received. The last clause of verse 11 states, in effect, that those who were ruling over His possessions neither received nor accepted Him [as the owner]. It points to outright rejection, not through ignorance [which is covered by the phrase does not recognise Him in verse 10], but by wilful refusal to accept Him as the rightful owner. However, in the first sentence of verse 12 the word received has the meaning of to welcome or to accept willingly. Hence, while the Judean Nation rejected Him at a national level, there were individuals in that Nation who did both recognise and receive Him gladly.
Verses 11 and 12 read in the Greek text:
v11 He comes unto his own [possessions] but The people [ruling over His possessions] refuse to
accept Him [as the rightful owner].
v12 But to those who welcome Him, to The ones believing in His name, to them He gives
authority to [make themselves] become [because of their beliefs] children of God [again].
They were not everyone on earth who was born of bloods [plural in Greek] or by the will of
the flesh [John 1:10-13]. Jesus came to His household who were born by the will of God.
Thayer’s Lexicon Household is used as stock, race, descendants of one.
Phillips and Phillips again points out:
The phrase translated the sons of God in verse 12 of the AV is quite wrong. The Greek phrase is tekna theou which means children of God. Immature children, no doubt, but it does not mean sonship;
for sonship points to growth and ultimate maturity. Nor does it have anything to do with
the false doctrine of “adoption”. On the contrary, the phrase forcefully asserts:
a. the natural genetic relationship of a child with its true father and, hence,
b. those children of God are the biological descendants of God Himself.
Note that John 1:13 states:
Which were born, not of blood [plural], nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
To which Phillips and Phillips point out:
Verse 13 states that those who were given the right to become children of God [again] were those [begotten]:
a. not out of bloods – which is of ordinary human descent,
b. nor out of [the] will of the flesh – which was Sarah’s demand to have children by Hagar
and Keturah,
c. nor out of [the] will of a man – which was Abraham’s desire for an heir,
d. but out of God are begotten.
The Greek verb begotten is plural in this verse and so cannot be limited to the birth of Jesus“.
Isaac was not born of Abraham’s will. Abraham was past that. Isaac was begotten by
God’s will when He regenerated Abraham and Sarah’s ability to have a child and to give that child
an individually incorruptible spirit. Isaac was thus begotten from above, as are Isaac’s
descendants from the time of their conception. In this portion of John 1 we find the origin of those
who can believe in Jesus. Also we find where they did not [and do not] come from! Jesus came
only [alone] to those begotten from above by God. He is shown to be the Redeemer of only His
Kinsmen.
6
A person does not exercise his will in determining where and of what race he should be
begotten. The will factor of the person being born does not function in normal physical conception
and birth. God determined what seed a person is from that person’s father. God knows who are
begotten of the Spirit from above. 2 Tim 2:19 says, “God knows those that are His”. The word
translated as “born” = gennao in the following Scriptures, is used in the genealogies and in all
other places, as being begotten or conceived. It does not relate to some spiritual birth.
John 1:13 Which were born [begotten], not of blood …
John 3:3 Except a man be born again … [that is, begotten from above]
John 3:5 Except a man be born [begotten] of water and of Spirit …
John 3:8 so is everyone who is born [begotten] of the Spirit …
John 18:37 To this end was I born … [referring to Jesus’ physical birth from Mary]
Matt 2:1 When Jesus was born in Bethlehem … [referring to His physical birth from
Mary]
Spiritualise these references if we like, but we will be like Nicodemus, not knowing these things.
“REGENERATION”.
In Scripture there is an expression that means “born again”. This is paligenesia or palin
(again) plus genesis (born). There are but two occurrences and this is how they have been
translated:
Matt 19:28 Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration
when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit
upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. …
Titus 3:5 … but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration,
and renewing of the Holy Ghost; …
It is not appropriate to expand this new subject here, other than to again note the Tribes of Israel
limitation.
WHAT IS BEING SAID?
Simply this, there is a great difference between “begotten” and “born”. Begetal refers to
conception where as born refers to physical birth. The Greek word, gennao, means conception or
beget (when used of men) and physical birth (when used of women). Unless a person is begotten
of the line that arises from the original sowing, the begetting of God, that person does not come to
contain the ability to perceive the Kingdom of God. This is what Jesus said to Nicodemus!
